Overview
All the university faculties offer post graduate programs leading to Master or Doctorate degrees. The university has excellent library and laboratory facilities and a wide range of advanced equipment necessary for conducting scientific research . Most of the research projects conducted by the University staff contribute to the comprehensive development plan of the Egyptian society and are primarily concerned with its social and economic needs.
Additionally, the University has its annual quota of the academic missions funded by the Egyptian government and this offers opportunities for a large number of the university students to pursue their graduate studies whether in Egypt or abroad or in the context of the joint scientific channel system.
MU is listed among the major research Universities in Egypt. One of its key features is its being always standing ready to put all its research potentials at the service of the local community. Most of the research projects conducted by the University contribute to the national development plan and are primarily relevant to its urgent social and economic needs.
The University is engaged in joint research programs with a number of well-known international research centers and institutes.
Postgraduate students are encouraged to attend appropriate general training courses and take part in seminars and scientific conferences to pursue recent developments and exchange experience with others.
In this respect, it would be worth mentioning that the university has three major institutes mainly concerned with postgraduate programs and research .These institutes can be generally defined as Centers of Excellence:
