Faculty of Science, Menoufia University organized a seminar under the patronage of Dr. Mouawad El Khouly, the President of the University, entitled "Sinai Egypt's strategic stock of wealth". The seminar  was attended by Dr. Mohamed Tawfiq, Dean of the Faculty and Dr. Ahmad Bashadi, professor of mineral at the department of geology and the seminar rapporteur .dr. Hassan bekhet, Chairman of the Arab Advisory Council for Minerals, Petroleum and Natural Resources, at the Arab Geological Union reviewed the natural resources in Sinai of gold, copper, coal, manganese, white sand and other wealth, stressing that Egypt has natural wealth if exploited in the right way , will enable it to be one of the richest countries in the world where there are more than one hundred mines in the land of Egypt, similar to the  sukarie  mine , which produces 5,500 gold units annually, but we lack the exploitation of such wealth, and recommended the development of new legislation to help attract investors and exploitation of these sites, Or a Ministry of Mining in Egypt to direct the human and industrial energies to exploit those buried in the good soil of Egypt.

The seminar also discussed the importance of signing  a protocol of cooperation between the faculties of science and scientific syndicate to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and solve the problems of students and directing them to work.

The seminar  recommended the need to increase the training courses for them and scientific trips.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Amin El-Adawi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hassan Eliawa, Head of Geology Department, Dr. Kamal Dahab, Dr. Orabi Ahmed Orabi, Dr. Abdulla Wens, Dr. Maher Dawoud, Dr. Hamdy El Desouki, Dr. Mai El-Leithy, Dr. Hana Ibrahim, Dr. Rida Mahmoud and a number of faculty members, and students.
