Dr. Mouawad El Khouly, President of Menoufia University, inaugurated  the 2nd International Conference of  European Languages ​​under the title "Continuing Cultures .. Prospects and Challenges" organized by Faculty of Arts at the Conference Hall of the General Administration of the University.

The opening ceremony began with the presentation of a documentary film of the Faculty of Arts and the history of its creation, followed by a speech of  Dr. Moawad in which he said that God created nations and peoples  in order to get acquainted with each other  and the transfer of cultures. This is the principle that Islam has established its principles in spreading its message around the world so that everyone can coexist and adapt to each other, This is the concept of the conference, which speaks different languages ​​but combines a single language, which is the ethics that do not change and do not change by changing languages.

He said that dealing with the other requires not only talking or reading his language, but also learning about his culture and the rich knowledge that enables individuals to share economic benefits and revive the labor market in different countries.

Dr. Hassan Nadir, President of the French University, said that the technological revolution in our time has exceeded the geographical boundaries, but ... cultural diversity remains another barrier between peoples because it occupies a great place in the concept of culture because it affects the organization and formation of the cultural concept, referring to the words of scientists and researchers on the deep concept of cultures And communication between nations.

Nadir reviewed the role of the French University and its potential to help students of Menoufia University colleges through the publication of the Applied Languages ​​Program.

The President of the Conference, Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of the College, said that the idea of ​​the conference begins in an attempt to explore the features of intercultural communication that raise many questions .. How is the process of intercultural communication and acceptance through the relationship between identity and heterogeneity .. Does this communication indicate social and ethnic differences or leads By recognizing multiculturalism, and to what extent it deals with ideological, psychological and linguistic practices in the media.
