Under the patronage of Dr. Mouawad El Khouly, President of Menoufia University and Haitham El Haj Ali, President of the Egyptian General Book Authority, Dr. Adel Mubarak, Vice-President of the University for Education and Students Affairs opened today the first book Fair at the Faculty of Arts.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Qassed, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Dr. Abdulrahman Qarman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of the College, Dr. Hasna Mahgoub, Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Ahmed El Bahy , Vice President of the General Authority for the Book, Ghada Al-Raidi, Head of Marketing Sector in the Authority, and Mr. Akef Badr, Director General of Youth Welfare at the University.

The Fair began its activities today and continues until Wednesday, February 28, from 9 am to 4 pm.
Mubarak said a bigger venue would be provided for the upcoming fair to be a permanent one with a permanent library outlet.
Al-Qassed pointed out that this fair is a beacon of science and dissemination of the general culture which is a necessity for the youth of the university to present different opinions and accept the other.

Qurman added that the fair is a good step for the idea of reading for all and provide the book at a symbolic price to encourage students to read and public culture.
Mukhtar Azab, Director General of Marketing at Dar Al-Ma'aref said that the fair includes the latest publications of the Book Authority and the Knowledge House in all the sciences of knowledge and science at various prices accessible to all students, aiming to provide service to students, faculty members and all employees of the university.
