The activities of the Environmental Cultural Forum (Humanities and Challenges of the Age), organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Arts, Menoufia University, was launched today under the patronage of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University and the supervision and presence of Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bagouri, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of the  faculty, the forum’s secretary, Dr. Hassan Khattab, the forum’s rapporteur, Dr Mahmoud al-Jundi, and the forum’s coordinator, Dr Ismail Youssef.


At the beginning of the session, Al-Bagouri expressed his happiness at his presence in the Faculty of Arts, and welcomed the Arab delegations participating in the forum, which is held in light of a great challenge, namely the Corona pandemic, which in turn affected all aspects of life, adding that this forum is a wonderful opportunity to break the bottleneck and keep pace with development at the level of The world through digitization, in which the university's training centers prepare students and workers to deal with the digital age.


At the end of his speech, he wished forum participants to present serious recommendations through the multiple researches presented in various fields in an executive form and send them to the executive authorities in order to benefit from them to achieve development and progress for society.


Madani thanked the president of the university for his full support for the forum, the vice president of the university, the participating Arab delegations, and those in charge of the forum, and pointed out that the human sciences have a great, effective and fundamental role in the Corona pandemic, in addition to the applied sciences, due to its psychological, social, religious and other repercussions as the university Its primary goal is to go outside the university’s scope and to provide the research and advisory side for community service.


The Secretary of the Forum’s speech added that the human sciences have an important role in studying reality, addressing its problems and confronting its challenges, and the forum seeks to discuss visions and ideas of the pandemic and its effects through 110 working papers and research in 11 sessions on environmental issues, development problems, and the economic, political and religious dimensions of Corona echoes.
