- Allow me at the outset to extend my sincere congratulations to His Excellency President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi - the President of the Republic, and to all the sons of Menoufia University.

- - My sincere thanks and appreciation for honoring us today in the prestigious Menoufia University on an occasion where we meet annually to celebrate this lofty edifice and its achievements, but the Corona pandemic prevented this from being achieved last year. In 1976, Law No. (93) was issued to establish Menoufia University, and since this year Menoufia University has been celebrating its annual anniversary. And here comes the forty-fifth anniversary of the celebration of the shining beacon in the heart of the delta "Menoufia University".

The successive efforts of Menoufia University's children until the present time, and the coordination between the various sectors of work, embodies for us the distinguished level and position our university has reached among universities. Menoufia University includes (23) colleges and institutes after the University of Sadat City left its womb, and now the university is establishing the Al-Menoufia National University in Toukh Tanbesha.
- - The number of Menoufia University students has now reached nearly 85,000, with a steady increase of more than 60% over the last five years.
In the postgraduate studies, the number of students reached 22,000, with an increase of nearly 50%. This is in addition to 4,500 faculty members and assistant staff, and 12,000 members of the administrative staff, which illustrates the position and weight of Menoufia University and its pioneering role in the heart of the governorate.

- Allow me to briefly present to you a selection of the achievements of Menoufia University; These are achievements that were written by its children with their efforts, sincerity and dedication, day after day, so your university has become a beacon shining in the sky of our dear Egypt.
- As I noted earlier, we were as surprised as the world was, by the outbreak of the new Corona virus, so we immediately took quick measures that had a positive and effective impact, through the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, where all necessary precautions were taken to confront the crisis.
- • We were keen, early on, as soon as the pandemic spread, to follow up on the university's hospitals' preparations to face this crisis, and to follow up the training of medical staff to deal with infected cases.

- • We have established a website to activate the electronic clinics initiative, whereby medical advice is provided online in all specialties through an electronic application.
- • In response to the university's societal role, doctors from the University Hospital and the National Liver Institute were assigned to work in the isolation hospitals of the Ministry of Health in the governorate.
- • We have implemented the distance education system by creating an educational platform to raise scientific research for all university students and announce the results to students.
- • Menoufia University had a major role in activating the initiative of His Excellency President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to return the Egyptians stranded abroad, as the university cities received groups of the people of the country returning from abroad.

- • We have issued a guide to coexistence with the Corona virus, which has been applied to all university employees.
- • The University Hospital has also been assigned to work as an isolation hospital since the beginning of the pandemic until now, and Menoufia University Hospital has also assumed responsibility for receiving emergency cases daily at the governorate level for a period exceeding two months.
- • The university's electronic payment service has also been activated.
-• The university, in implementation of the political leadership's directives, vaccinated all faculty members, staff and students through eight vaccination points inside the university at the beginning of this academic year.
- • We continue to this day to implement all the necessary precautionary measures and health requirements to ensure the preservation of the health of all university employees.

- - In an effort to complete the new faculties at the university in accordance with its strategic plan and the needs of the community, we were able, with God’s grace, to open the College of Media last year 2020-2021 after completing all the college’s equipment to become the only college of its kind in the middle of the Delta.
- In this year 2021-2022, the faculties of dentistry and artificial intelligence were also opened, and thanks to God and his success, a great achievement was achieved, with the approval of His Excellency the President of the Republic on the establishment of the Al-Menoufia National University on the land of the University of Menoufia in the village of Toukh Tanbesha, where work is now underway It is set to complete its facilities and programs, and it is expected to open next year 2022 to be a giant baby emerging from the womb of its mother university, Menoufia University.

- - Also, the university is working to establish an integrated medical city on an area of five acres north of the medical complex, where 9 buildings will be built that will include modern specialized medical services, which will raise the capacity of university hospitals from 1,000 beds to 3,700 beds in order to provide an outstanding educational and health service for the people of the governorate Menoufia and society in general.

- - The university organized the Universities Youth Week for People with Disabilities in September 2019 with the participation of 1500 male and female students of determination representing most public universities under the slogan (we complete each other), so we presented an honorable image of our esteemed university.

- - We opened the University Center for Vocational Training in cooperation with USAID and the American University in Cairo with the aim of providing a selection of international training programs and career guidance for university students and graduates in order to prepare them for the contemporary labor market.
We established the Information Technology Institute, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, to serve university students and graduates for training in professional technical tracks with a full scholarship system.
- In the field of medical service, the university implemented an expanded campaign under the slogan "Hepatitis C free university", where all students were examined to ensure that they were free of infection with this virus, and the positive ones were treated.
The College of Medicine and the National Liver Institute also had an active participation in the initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic (100 Million Seha) to detect non-communicable diseases in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
As for the number of cases attending university hospitals and the National Liver Institute this year alone, the total number of patients attending them has reached more than 260 thousand patients in various specialties, in addition to performing about 600 liver transplant operations so far. The General Administration of Medical Affairs also provided medical services to university students at a total cost of EGP 31 million for 121,000 students within three years.
Menoufia University Hospitals were also provided with the latest equipment, led by a digital breast imaging device (mammogram) at a cost of 3 million pounds, and an intensive care and critical care unit was opened in the emergency hospital with a capacity of 24 beds equipped with the latest medical devices at a cost of 10 million pounds, as well as a ramp Upgrading the building of the Oncology Hospital and raising its efficiency from 40 to 90 beds, at a cost of 20 million pounds. This is in addition to the opening of a high-precision brachytherapy unit at a cost of 22 million pounds, which is one of five devices of its kind at the level of the Republic and the only one at the Delta level, as well as the opening of the latest multi-sectional tomography unit according to the latest technologies to connect the radiology department with all its devices in one unit at a cost of one million EGP, as well as the opening of a stroke treatment unit at a cost of EGP 2 million. The total value of these devices and upgrades amounted to EGP 58 million from the university’s own resources.

- - The development of a strategic plan for Menoufia University 20/30, for a period of ten years, in line with Egypt's 20/30 vision, a plan that took more than a year to prepare. A follow-up committee has also been formed for the strategic plan, which submits a report every three months to be submitted to the University Council to ensure the perfect implementation of the plan's terms.
As Menoufia University had a prominent role in the field of literacy, the Menoufia University initiative was activated to integrate its students into the national project for literacy and adult education, so that each student must eradicate illiteracy, as a minimum, of 4 students for each university student to obtain a graduation certificate. More than 8,000 students from different faculties of the university opened literacy classes, through which more than 21,000 citizens were eradicated in various villages and districts of the governorate. about the previous.
In a new achievement for Menoufia University, 12 professors from the university's faculties were selected as the best scientists in the world in the competition launched by Stanford University for the "best 2% of the world's scientists."
- In the field of digital transformation, Menoufia University has jumped in the rate of mechanization and electronic services from 10% to 80% of the total number of services provided in three years, by building the latest fiber-optic networks, data centers and programs for the various sectors of the university. - As for the last classification of Menoufia University at the local and international levels for the year 2021, Menoufia University achieved the 800+ position in the THE classification, with an advance of 200 places over the previous year, and in the THE-rank-subjective classification, it achieved the 601-800 position in engineering and technology, with an advance of 200 places over the previous year. The previous year, 501-600 in Computer Science up 100 places over the previous year, and 500+ in Medicine, up 200 places over the previous year. As for the WEBOMETRICS classification, the university ranked 1783 globally, and 11 in the Arab world, advancing 474 places from the previous year. In the US News ranking, the university was ranked 1108 globally and 11 Arab, with an increase of 70 positions over the previous year. In the Shanghai classification, Menoufia University came among the top 500 universities in the world in 17 subspecialties, and ranked 121-130 Arabs.
The university was also honored by the QS Authority in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for its progress among 130 universities from 15 countries in the Arab region for the year 2020.

- • Menoufia University also strongly participated in the (Dignified Life) initiative launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, where it prepared an integrated plan for the villages of a decent life in Ashmoun and Al-Shuhada centers, which targeted 81 villages, where 52 integrated convoys (medical - veterinary - handicraft - cultural - awareness - and literacy) so far, including a convoy in which the university participated in Shamma village in Ashmoun center, which took place under the auspices and presence of the wife of His Excellency the President of the Republic.
- • The university also aims, through this initiative, to declare some villages free of illiteracy.
The number of seminars and conferences reached 223 with a total of 30 thousand participants, and the number of convoys reached 530 various convoys.
- • Orphan's Day is also celebrated every year with the participation of many community and charitable organizations.
- • The Environmental Week is organized annually, and includes many seminars and caravans, accompanied by an expanded environmental conference at the level of Egyptian universities and bodies.

- • The contact point and the patent were also established, and the Environmental Research and Energy Journal was activated, obtaining the highest ratings in the last classification of the Supreme Council of Universities, as well as activating the Egyptian Rural Development Center.
- • Also, 428 temporary workers were installed at the university level, and those with higher qualifications were re-appointed and redistributed to university units.
- • In the field of quality, this year the university's general administration obtained the ISO 9001 certificate.
The Faculties of Medicine, Engineering in Shebin El-Kom, Electronic Engineering in Menouf, Nursing, Agriculture, Specific Education, and the Libraries and Information Program at the Faculty of Arts were accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation.
- • The National Liver Institute and the College of Science have also submitted for accreditation, and are awaiting the results of visits by the commission.
- - All these achievements culminated in a historic visit by the Prime Minister, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, where he met the Menoufia University Council, providing support to the university, and announced during the meeting its approval to develop and modernize the building of the emergency hospital and the old National Liver Institute at a cost of 290 million pounds, as well as providing a back-up for the university Sadat City, and the necessary measures are being taken to do so.

- In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that this lofty edifice, with its distinguished services in all fields, has attained this high position thanks to the dedication of its loyal sons, headed by all the former presidents of Menoufia University who were dedicated to its service and gave their best efforts and expertise to see their beloved university in continuous excellence. . People and positions will pass away, but history remains a witness to the achievement, pointing to the sincere efforts of its loyal sons.
