Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, held today the sixth session of the Council for Community Service and Environmental Development for the year 2022/23, in the presence of a group of deans and vice-presidents of faculties for community service and environmental development, and a number of executive bodies and members from abroad .

The honor of the council began by offering congratulations to the audience and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, wishing everyone that God would bring it back to the crowds in Yemen, goodness and blessings.

During the meeting, the Vice President of the University reviewed all the activities of the sector during the month of February, including the activities of the Community Service Week festival, the celebration of people of determination, the celebration of Orphan Day, and medical convoys to various villages.

The Council announced the issuance of Issue 27 of the Development and Society Bulletin and work to activate the Journal of Environmental Research and Renewable Energy to introduce the journal to attract researchers to publish their research there.

The session also discussed the criteria for the Environmental Excellence Competition, which includes plans for sustainability, infrastructure, means of transportation and environmental quality by monitoring solutions, research, innovative applied projects, participation in global classifications related to the environment, crisis and disaster management plans, occupational safety and health procedures, the policy of using new and renewable energy, rationalization of consumption and waste management.

Sharaf emphasized the activation of the graduate care unit and the organization of a database for them to facilitate the recruitment process and create job opportunities for them in the labor market, provided that it is under the supervision of the dean of the college and the vice dean for education and student affairs, with the organization of a comprehensive annual employment forum that includes all colleges and majors in cooperation with the Ministry of Manpower.

Honor directed to review the work done in the units of a special nature, study the protocols concluded legally and computationally, and organize and implement online courses with accreditation from the university in various disciplines in the faculties, in addition to the traditional training courses.
