The activities of the second day of the 28th annual conference of the Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University, which will be held under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, 3 workshops were held, 18 scientific sessions in the scientific departments of the college
Dr. Abd al-Rahman al-Sibai, Dean of the College and President of the Conference, indicated that the conference dealt with, on its second day, holding 3 workshops and 18 scientific sessions in the scientific departments of the college, in the presence of a large number of faculty members, supporting staff and postgraduate students. He added that some sessions were in cooperation With more than one scientific department to achieve integration between disciplines and exchange different experiences.
He added that the conference discusses new developments in various medical specialties, including new ones in diseases of the digestive system and liver, treatment of liver diseases and tumors, eye and heart diseases, diabetes, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, plastic surgery, new surgery in colon tumors, pelvic tumors, treatment and surgeries of tumors, and new ones in diseases of the heart, eyes, nose and ear. and children
Dr. Muhammad Al-Sawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and the conference rapporteur, explained that the conference this year was well prepared, and a topic was chosen to ensure the participation of all scientific departments within the college, indicating that the scientific program for the conference includes 6 workshops, 31 scientific sessions, and deals over 3 Days to discuss everything new in the medical field.
The vice-faculty indicated that an exhibition was held on the sidelines of the conference, in which the various departments of the college participated, and included devices related to artificial intelligence and its importance in medical practices and the educational process, in cooperation with the Faculties of Menouf Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Ayman Al-Lahlah, Head of the Endemic Diseases Department, explained that one of the conference sessions dealt with the new in diagnosing and treating liver diseases and tumors, and discussed the causes of liver diseases, the genetic factor in them, and chemotherapy and radiotherapy for liver tumors, indicating that the session was in cooperation with the departments of endemic diseases, biochemistry, oncology and radiology
The scientific session was held for the Department of Natural Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation under the title of “News in Rheumatic Diseases”. Dr. Samar Jaber, Professor and Head of the Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, indicated that the session dealt with “News in the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis resulting from rheumatic diseases” and “News in chronic opportunistic infections in Cases of rheumatic and immunological diseases, and “what is new in antiphospholipid immunodeficiency syndrome,” as well as a discussion of “what is new in pulmonary fibrosis resulting from rheumatic diseases.” The session was moderated by Dr. Amira Tariq Al-Shanwani
Dr. Hatem Sultan, Head of the Department of Surgery, added that the department discussed, in its scientific session, new general surgery, including plastic surgeries for breast tumors, new surgeries for colon tumors and pelvic tumors, and the role of vascular surgery in tumor surgery.
Dr. Hana Noah, Head of the Anatomy Department, indicated that the department session dealt with new research on aging at the cell level
The session of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology also dealt with current and recent trends in the field of forensic medicine and toxicology, headed by Dr. Azza Zanati.
