The Faculty of Arts at Menoufia University, represented by the Department of History, organized a symposium on the victories of the glorious October War in celebration of this great national memory, under the patronage of Dr. Dr. Adel Shawish, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Hassan Khattab, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Helmy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Community Service Affairs, Dr. Ali Suleiman, Head of the History Department, faculty members in the department, a large number of university students and student unions at university faculties, and also participated in The symposium is a family of students for Egypt


At the beginning of the symposium, Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of the College, welcomed the guests and attendees of the symposium and the Union of University Students. Dr. Osama Madani stressed that these symposiums are an opportunity to bring the historical event closer and link students to the history of their country and enhance their sense of belonging, stressing that the Egyptian army is one of the best in the world and that Egypt’s soldiers The best soldiers on earth as described by the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, and his victories throughout history and ages testify to this, and he affirmed the ability of the Egyptian people to make the impossible and achieve victory in the battles they fought


The dean of the college welcomed the college guest, Major General Tariq Mahdi, who graduated from the Military Technical College and worked as an assistant teacher at the Air Defense Institute and headed the National Media Council and held the position of governor for more than one governorate, including Alexandria, the New Valley, and the Red Sea.


Major General Tariq Mahdi received a large number of military badges, medals and decorations in appreciation of him and his efforts, including the Military Duty Medal of the first class, the Excellent Military Service Medal, the Long Service Medal and the Good Example and the Good Example 6 October Medal. Dr. Ali Suleiman, Head of the History Department, added that commemorating the victories of the fragrant October war is a necessity to revive the spirit of loyalty and belonging among the youth of Egypt who did not live through this war, so that the memory of victory will remain an immortal memory in the minds.


He stressed the importance of the role of history, as it is the best teacher, and we do not need to be inspired by the spirit of October for the sake of Egypt and its youth


Dr. Reda Abdel-Fattah, assistant professor of contemporary history at the college, pointed out that the Egyptian army is the owner of victories in all decisive battles throughout history, as it is the same heroic army led by King Mina and the army led by King Ahmose, and it is the same army led by King Thathmus III, which was led by King Ramses The second was led by the commander Salah al-Din, explaining that Egypt defended with its army all humanity in its Ain Jalut site, and had it not been for Egypt’s victory over the Mongols, the world would have lived in ignorance and darkness for a long time. In the Mexican War and the Crimean War, he achieved brilliant victories as Orabi led him against the English, and the army and the people throughout history have always been one hand in the face of the enemy.


Major General Tariq Mahdi spoke about the victories of the glorious October War and the heroism of the Egyptian army, and expressed his happiness at attending this symposium and the positive energy he saw among the students and youth of Menoufia University and their eagerness to attend these symposiums that ignite in them the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, and thanked Dr. Adel Mubarak The President of the University, and Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of the College, for organizing this symposium, and he stressed the importance of conscious youth who love their country, praising the role of youth in achieving victory in the October War, which was a war in which Arabs cooperated and the Egyptian people united, and the slogan of the youth was victory or martyrdom with their faith. With the national mission that he wrote to them, the young people were able to do the impossible and make creative ideas out of the ordinary during the war. They were able to make structural sites and deception sites, dismantling the battalions and marching with them in the desert and on the seashore, as they had the ability to endure pain and the ability to live in The most difficult conditions without food or drink for long periods and life inside shelters. The youth achieved integration in this war from the end of victory. He described the Egyptian people as a great people and the army as a great army. You will always turn away in crises, at the heart of one man, and perform a performance worthy of the homeland in all crises and difficult situations


Dr. Gamal Shakra pointed out that Egypt and its army are able to achieve victory from the days of the pharaohs’ kings, and recounted the journey of victories throughout history and the long journey that Egypt prepared from the war of attrition to the war of victory in October, and the heroism of the leader Gamal Abdel Nasser and President Sadat until the Sinai was completed in full with the recovery of Taba
