The President of Menoufia University witnesses the conclusion of the NASA Hackathon Challenge for Space Applications 2023 at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and announces that two teams from the university won first and second place.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, witnessed the conclusion of the NASA Hackathon Challenge for Space Applications 2023 competition at the Faculty of Intelligence, and announced that the team from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence won first place in the NASA SPACE APP competition, and the team from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at Menoufia University won second place and qualified them to participate in the global competition, as it hosts The college held the NASA Space Applications Challenge Hackathon 2023, which is the second largest edition in Egypt. Menoufia University is the first university to host the competition at the Delta level. The activities took place under the supervision of Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf, Dean of the College.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, University President, stressed the keenness of Menoufia University, represented by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, through the Entrepreneurship Club, which hosts this global competition, which has been organized by NASA since 2011, in which more than 80 countries, 250 cities, and 150,000 contestants around the world participate, expressing He expressed his happiness at the university hosting the local version of this hackathon in Menoufia Governorate.
El-Kased explained that the competition is attended by more than 400 contestants and more than 90 teams, represented by the participation of 10 universities, teams from schools for excellence in science and technology, and teams from the Academy of Sciences. The results of the competition resulted in victory and 3 of them qualified for the global competition, where the College of Artificial Intelligence won the place. The first place, the College of Electronic Engineering came in second place, and the STEM School in Gharbia came in third place.
The university president pointed out that the competition is a global challenge organized by NASA for designers of smart programs

The competition targets programmers, technicians and innovators to meet and use open data from NASA and its space agency companies to find radical solutions to the challenges facing us on the surface of the Earth and in space. The university is hosting the special edition in the city of Shibin al-Koum out of its belief in the ability of university students and college students to work on global challenges and participate in them.
Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf presented the college shield to Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, in appreciation of his support and encouragement to the participating male and female students, and to motivate and push them to find innovative solutions that serve society, the nation, and the entire world with Egyptian minds.
