Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, stated that the Webometrics classification for evaluating international university websites and the ranking of Egyptian universities for the year 2024 announced the progress of Menoufia University’s ranking, as Menoufia University ranked 12th in Egypt and 1538th in the world.

Dr. Ahmed Faraj El-Kased confirmed that the university is still continuing its constant endeavor to raise its ranking in the international classifications until it reaches the position that befits the name of the university, its researchers, its faculty members, and the scientific level of its graduates, through implementing a comprehensive research strategy and plan in which everyone participates to raise the university’s name globally in order to achieve its vision. The ambition and its educational mission are in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the higher education strategy, stressing that the unlimited support provided by the political leadership to develop education and scientific research has led to a noticeable development in the performance of universities at the level of international classifications, raising the levels of international publishing, raising the level of education and improving its quality in line with Global standards.
The President of the University added that the progress of Menoufia University’s ranking in various international classifications reflects the university’s efforts at all levels to achieve this achievement, perform its academic, research and societal mission, and implement the necessary steps to achieve this progress by encouraging international scientific publishing, providing technical support to researchers, and developing digital libraries to develop the skills of researchers. And providing sources of access to research resources and academic information, congratulating all members and employees of the university on this new achievement and thanking everyone who contributed to its achievement.
It is worth noting that the Webometrics Global University Evaluation is the largest system for evaluating global universities and specializes in measuring the quality of educational and research services on the Internet, covering more than 20,000 universities worldwide. It is a semi-annual evaluation that is issued in January and July of each year in Spain by the Council. The highest ranking for scientific research, and in calculating its global ranking of universities, it relies on the following criteria: site size, rich files, and Google Scholar.
