President of Menoufia University receives members of the Giza Lions Club to discuss aspects of cooperation in community activities

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received a delegation of members of the Giza Lions Club. The visit comes within the framework of discussing aspects of cooperation in various service and community activities, in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The delegation included Dr. Imam El-Rifai, and Ms. Sayedat Saleh, Hanan El-Sallab, Ruqayya Labib, Safaa El-Maghribi, and media figure Nagat El-Aseely.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the club members, praising their role in serving the community, explaining that the visit of the Lions Club members to Menoufia University is a positive step towards enhancing cooperation between the university and service and educational institutions, to serve the local community.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, also gave the guests an overview of the university since its inception, its societal orientation and its direct interaction with societal problems in the governorate, noting that the university includes 24 colleges and institutes in addition to the university owning distinguished university hospitals that provide high-quality health services, including national projects such as the National Liver Institute and the Oncology Institute, and the number of its students is about 90 thousand male and female students.

He also reviewed the distinguished academic programs offered by Menoufia Private University.

The university president added that the university follows the quality management system in educational institutions, according to international specifications, with the aim of developing the education system within the university campus.

Dr. Imam Al-Rifai presented the activities of the Lions Clubs worldwide, which adopt the implementation of service projects that address current challenges such as illiteracy, hunger, poverty, disease, lack of clean water and environmental pollution, while urging them to maintain the highest ethical standards in their professional lives, and providing many awareness and donation campaigns to provide treatment for diabetes, cancer, liver, tuberculosis and others, and contributing to alleviating the burden of community diseases such as smoking, addiction, domestic violence, reckless driving and others. During the visit, ways of cooperation between the university and the club were discussed in organizing joint events and activities that serve the local community.
