President of Menoufia University Chairs Quality Assurance Center Board Meeting and Reaffirms Continued Support for Faculties Seeking Accreditation

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired a meeting of the University's Quality Assurance Center Board to review the University's ongoing efforts in the fields of quality assurance and accreditation, and to discuss the latest developments regarding institutional and academic accreditation files at both the faculty and university levels.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the Quality Assurance Center; Prof. Zeinab Abdel Khalek, Prof. Noha Othman, and Prof. Alaa El-Beltagy, Deputy Directors of the Center; and Asmaa Refaat, Administrative Director of the Center.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased extended his congratulations to the members of the Committee, the University's staff, and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the approaching Hijri New Year, praying that it brings continued prosperity, stability, and progress to Egypt and the Arab and Islamic nations.

The University President affirmed that the quality assurance system represents one of the key pillars of the University's strategy for achieving institutional excellence and enhancing the outcomes of education and scientific research. He emphasized that the University continues to implement a clear vision aimed at promoting a culture of quality and fulfilling accreditation standards in line with the Egyptian state's direction and the vision of the New Republic for the development of higher education.

Prof. El-Kased praised the outstanding efforts of the Quality Assurance Center in supporting faculties and preparing them for accreditation. These efforts have resulted in three faculties obtaining accreditation, while twelve additional faculties are being supported to apply for accreditation during the current year. He also highlighted the ongoing work to complete the University's institutional accreditation requirements.

The Committee discussed the readiness of several faculties planning to apply for accreditation during the upcoming July accreditation cycle. The meeting reviewed the preparedness of the nominated faculties, assessed their prospects for obtaining accreditation, and evaluated the progress made in meeting quality assurance requirements and standards. Emphasis was placed on fulfilling all required indicators in accordance with the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).

The University President also directed the Committee to continue monitoring the implementation of the University's institutional accreditation file by reviewing the progress achieved in completing the required evidence and documentation for the various accreditation standards. He further discussed mechanisms for strengthening coordination between the Quality Assurance Center and the University's different sectors to ensure that all requirements for institutional accreditation are completed during the coming phase.

The meeting also reviewed performance measurement tools, internal review mechanisms, and continuous improvement plans across the University's administrations, centers, and units. These efforts aim to enhance institutional performance, support informed decision-making, and strengthen the University's capacity to achieve its strategic objectives in quality assurance, accreditation, and institutional excellence.
