El-Kased: Crowning Its Development and Internationalization Efforts, Menoufia University Achieves Advanced Positions in QS Rankings 2026

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced that the University continues to strengthen its international standing by achieving distinguished positions in the QS World University Rankings 2026. This new academic achievement reflects the University's excellence in institutional and research performance and confirms its growing prominence among leading universities at both the regional and international levels. It also highlights the success of the University's strategy in promoting the quality of education, advancing scientific research, and aligning with global standards.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that the University was ranked within the 401–475 category globally in Agriculture & Forestry according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026. This accomplishment reflects the continuous improvement in the quality of the University's research outputs and its growing academic reputation in one of the vital disciplines closely linked to sustainable development and food security.

The University also maintained its position in the QS World University Rankings 2026, being placed within the 1201–1250 category globally, reaffirming its continued progress in academic and research performance indicators and its international competitiveness.

At the regional level, Menoufia University achieved an advanced position in the QS Arab Region Rankings 2026, where it was ranked within the 151–160 category among Arab universities, clearly demonstrating its growing academic and research influence among higher education institutions across the Arab region.

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased emphasized that this achievement represents the culmination of the University's strategic plan aimed at developing the educational process, enhancing the quality of scientific research, supporting international publication, and expanding academic and research partnerships with international universities and institutions, in line with the objectives of Egypt's National Strategy for Higher Education and Egypt Vision 2030.

The President of the University stated:

"These results confirm that Menoufia University is moving steadily toward strengthening its global position. What has been achieved is the outcome of collective efforts and integration among the University's academic, research, and administrative sectors. We continuously strive to provide an educational and research environment that fosters innovation and creativity, positively impacting the quality of our graduates and the University's international standing, particularly as the University celebrates its Golden Jubilee this year and its long-standing journey in serving society and education."

Prof. El-Kased congratulated all members of the University community and expressed his appreciation to the International Ranking Office, reaffirming Menoufia University's commitment to implementing its vision of leadership and excellence at the local, regional, and international levels and strengthening its position among world-class universities in support of sustainable development goals and in response to global changes in higher education.

For his part, Prof. Hatem Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information and Supervisor of the Information Center, explained that the University's progress in the QS Rankings reflects significant improvement in institutional and research performance indicators. He noted that the University continuously works to support international scientific publication, increase research collaboration, and improve indicators related to academic reputation and research citations, thereby enhancing its opportunities for further advancement in international rankings.

He added that the University has placed considerable emphasis on developing institutional databases, improving the efficiency of its international ranking system, supporting researchers, and encouraging interdisciplinary fields with global impact.

In the same context, Dr. Nora Samri, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the International Ranking Office, affirmed that the University's achievements in the QS Rankings are a clear indicator of the success of its efforts to internationalize education and enhance the quality of educational and research outcomes. She explained that the University's efforts in the coming period will focus on expanding international partnerships, supporting academic mobility, and improving indicators related to international reputation and sustainability.

She further added that Menoufia University possesses strong capabilities that qualify it to achieve even greater progress in the coming years, supported by the continuous commitment of the University administration and the integrated efforts of all sectors of the University.
