Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the monthly session of the University Council under his chairmanship and in the presence of the members of the Council, Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, former Minister of Local Development and a member of the Council from abroad, and the two Vice-Presidents of the University, Dr. Nancy Asaad for Education and Students, Dr. Sobhy Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development, and accountant Galal Abdel Salam Amin University general and college deans.
The university president started the session by congratulating all university students and employees on the occasion of the accreditation granting company’s announcement of the continuity of granting the ISO 9001/2015 certificate to Menoufia University and renewing accreditation for the second time after following up on the implementation of quality systems in accordance with international standards, which lasted for two days in various departments of the general administration of Menoufia University, expressing his His happiness for this continuous achievement and wishing more progress for Menoufia University, the beacon of science and knowledge, thanking the university work team headed by Dr. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Rania Azmy, Deputy Director, Ahmed Saleh, Director of Development and Performance Evaluation for Quality Assurance, and the administration staff and auditors for their efforts.
The President of the University reviewed the most important activities and events that took place since the previous session, including: Participation in the launch of the activities of the inaugural session of the National Dialogue, which was held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the presence of Dr. The National Dialogue, members of the Presidential Pardon Committee, youth from various political forces, clerics, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, heads of universities and research centers, civil society organizations, and submitters of proposals on national dialogue issues.
The President of the University informed the deans of what was done during the participation in the emergency meeting of the Councils of Private and Private Universities to discuss and approve the detailed executive procedures for implementing the Cabinet’s decision approving the transfer of Egyptian students studying in Sudanese, Russian and Ukrainian universities to complete their studies in Egyptian universities, implementation mechanisms, and start registration on the relevant electronic link at The Ministry's website, and follow-up on preparing applicants to enroll in Menoufia National University, stressing the efforts of the Egyptian state, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to return Egyptians safely, and his concern for their interest and providing them with places in Egyptian universities.
The president of the university referred to the meeting he attended in the Education and Scientific Research Committee of the House of Representatives to discuss a draft law linking the state’s general budget and the state’s economic and social development plan for the current fiscal year with regard to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in order to discuss the university’s budget and projects and present the requirements and needs of the university and all developments throughout the year. Financial, and the inclusion of the new medical city project in the plan for the next fiscal year was presented in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
The university hosted members of the House of Representatives and Senate in the governorate to discuss ways of cooperation and upgrading the university’s services provided to the people of the governorate, in addition to presenting the latest developments of the medical city to be established at the university. Ways of support for the university, also praising the efforts of Major General Ibrahim Abu Lemon, Governor of Menoufia, to implement this important medical and educational project on the territory of the governorate to provide health and treatment services at the highest level for citizens. In this regard, the university council agreed to open a donation account for the medical city in banks to contribute to providing the required financial support. .
The university president clarified the terms of the Delta Alliance protocol, which he signed at Tanta University in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, which includes the universities of “Menoufia, Menoufia National University, Tanta University, Mansoura University, Kafr El Sheikh, Damietta, Sadat City, Mansoura National University, New Mansoura University, Delta University for Science and Technology, Horus, Technological Delta, Samannoud Technological, and Private Peace" in the presence of representatives of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the private sector companies "Intelaq for Communication and Information Technology, Tanta Motors, Sanabel Al-Khair for Agricultural Solutions", where the terms of the protocol include strengthening the bonds of academic, training and industrial cooperation between the parties to the alliance from Universities, research and industrial institutions, and building a strategic alliance between academic and industrial institutions in the Delta region to achieve a positive and sustainable developmental impact, and to serve young graduates and owners of medium, small and micro projects, thanking Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf for his great efforts in preparation and organization.
Al-Kasid also indicated that the university's internal excellence system was launched within the start of the activities of the fourth session of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, which urges activating the university's endeavors towards developing and developing government work in line with the comprehensive development plans 2030.
The university president stressed the importance of developing the expatriate system in each college and restructuring its employees to choose the best elements to develop the system and increase ways to attract expatriates in implementation of the presidential initiative, “Study in Egypt” and the interest in increasing the number of expatriates to join Egyptian universities. Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, presented the sector’s topics, and presented a detailed presentation on the new educational programs that will be opened in the next academic year at Menoufia National University. The council discussed the proposal for the required expenses for each program and the number of students as well as the proposal to join the programs, as the university president praised With the efforts of the deputy and working around the clock at Al-Ahlia University and the education affairs sector to serve students.
Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, presented the activities of the sector and reviewed the activities of the integrated convoys organized by the university for remote areas in cooperation with the Council of Ministers, where three convoys were directed to the governorates of the Red Sea, North Sinai, and Qena that included all disciplines, and the sector’s organization of the week’s activities environment, and the university president praised the activities provided by the sector.
On the occasion of the advent of Eid Al-Adha, the University Council, headed by Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, agreed to pay a financial reward of 1000 pounds to all employees of the administrative apparatus, extending congratulations on this occasion, and praising the efforts of university employees in various sectors, colleges and units of the university.
