Menoufia University hosted Al-Masa’i Almashkura Association’s celebration of the Day of Loyalty and Reward, which was held under the patronage and presence of Ms. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Menoufia, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Dr. Safwat Al-Nahhas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Masa’i Almashkura Association. It was held today in the conference hall of the General Administration of the University in the presence of Counselor Hafez Abbas, Head of the Administrative Prosecution Authority, Dr. Shaden Muawiyah, President of Sadat City University, Dr. Moawad El-Kholy, President of New Mansoura University, Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Governor, a large number of former Menoufia governors and former university presidents, His Eminence Bishop Benjamin, Metropolitan of Menoufia, and the two vice presidents of Menoufia University, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf for community service, Dr. Hazem Saleh for postgraduate studies, Dr. Nancy Asaad, academic supervisor of Menoufia National University, and a number of representatives of the House of Representatives and the Senate, university guests from the security and executive leaders in the governorate, the military advisor, honorees from the honorable models in the governorate, and the first graduates from Menoufia University, Sadat City University, and colleges. The University President expressed his happiness at the University hosting this celebration in the presence of the Minister of Social Solidarity, the Governor, and the large gathering of attendees. At the beginning of his speech, he directed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for his sovereignty’s support of the education reform program and the development of strategic axes to develop the education sector and face many challenges due to his full belief that Education is the main engine for sustainable development, and the real foundation from which the Egyptian state will embark on its dream, hope, and path towards the new republic. Menoufia University endeavors to implement the strategy that is compatible with the vision of the Egyptian state, and the great achievements the university has achieved at all levels.


The University President welcomed the Minister of Social Solidarity, praising the volume of activities and services that the Ministry provides to students through social solidarity units within universities, which are represented in many services, including: Paying tuition fees for those who are unable, especially students with disabilities, and providing prosthetic devices for all types of disabilities, stressing that everyone cooperates to serve the students.


The university president also praised the activities of the Al-Masa’i Association, which is one of the lofty edifices on the governorate’s land and which has worked hard since its establishment to spread education on the governorate’s land, and has provided many cultural, educational and religious services in the governorate’s department, as well as child and maternity care by establishing nurseries, schools, and student care. Orphans and the needy, caring for memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, and establishing recitation institutes to prepare memorizers, stressing the importance of this annual celebration, which aims to develop the spirit of belonging among the top students by honoring them on the Day of Loyalty and Reward annually in appreciation and gratitude for their excellence.


At the end of his speech, he congratulated the students honored today and thanked their families for the hardships and troubles they endured until their children reached safety and became an honorable example of excellence.


For her part, Ms. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, expressed her happiness at participating in this celebration on the land of the ancient governorate, which values science and scholars and from which many great and influential figures in the nation’s history emerged, pointing out that Menoufia University is one of the distinguished educational brands in the governorate that has witnessed many achievements. It is one of the most important institutions of higher education.


The Minister of Social Solidarity reviewed the Ministry’s goals and activities and the services it provides to the community, especially to students, the most important of which is the Solidarity and Dignity Program, which supports 5 million students under the age of 18, and the Equal Educational Opportunities Initiative launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, appreciating His Excellency’s efforts to provide a decent life for the Egyptian citizen. The Ministry provides prosthetic devices for various physical disabilities for students with determination, provides many services through social solidarity units in universities, and launches the Productive Student Program to encourage students to work and provide job opportunities for them. It thanks all those in charge of the Grateful Endeavors Association for the great services they provide to the community. Over the years of its establishment.


The Governor of Menoufia confirmed that the Al-Masa’i Almashkura Association represents a distinguished model of which Menoufia Governorate is proud, as it is the oldest civil society association in Egypt and its contribution throughout its long history to serving educational issues in the governorate, out of its belief in the role of science in the advancement of the nation.


The governor pointed out that the projects implemented by the Egyptian state recently, such as the Decent Life Project, electricity and energy projects, and other giant national projects, demonstrate its belief in the right of citizens to a dignified and safe life for them, stressing his full support for all activities that would maximize efforts towards serving the people of Menoufia. .


Dr. Safwat Al-Nahhas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Masa’i Almashkura Association, extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all attendees for accepting the invitation and their keenness to participate in this ceremony, which is held annually to honor the notables of the governorate and the honorable graduates in recognition of their excellence and to encourage them to continue their excellence. He also reviewed in his speech the establishment of the association and its activities over the course of more than more than One hundred years and the history of those in charge of it since its inception, praising the role of the Minister of Social Solidarity, the Governor, and university presidents for the fruitful and constructive cooperation to achieve the association’s goals.

The celebration witnessed a documentary film about the history and activities of the association, and the graduates’ speech was given by the student Dina Sheta from the Faculty of Nursing. Honorary shields were presented to: Dr. Ahmed Al-Qassed, President of Menoufia University, Counselor Hafez Abbas, Head of the Administrative Prosecution Authority, Dr. Mustafa Madkour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Madkour Group, Dr. Mahmoud Azab, Advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar for Interfaith Dialogue, was also honoured. Some honorable examples of graduates of Al-Masa’i Al-Mashkoura Private Schools were honored, and the first graduates from Menoufia University, Sadat City University, and the faculties of Al-Azhar branch in Menoufia were honored.
