Gamal Sehlo won in the Menoufia University elections for membership in the Fund for Improving the Conditions of Workers in Public Universities

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced the victory of candidate Gamal Abdel-Sattar Sehlo, personnel affairs researcher at the National Liver Institute, in the elections for membership of the Board of the Improvement Fund for Employees of Public Universities who are not faculty members, to be a representative of the university. The elections began today at ten in the morning and the ballot boxes were closed. At six in the evening, voters flocked to the university’s general administration to cast their votes, under the supervision and follow-up of the committee formed headed by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.


A legal affairs committee counted the votes, which resulted in the victory of candidate Jamal Sahlo with 503 votes out of a total of 1,205 votes from university hospitals, the Liver Institute, colleges, and the general administration of the university. The candidate, Shawqi Ashraf, came in second place, Yasser Ghoneim in third place, and Ahmed Abdel Wahab in fourth place. Fifth place: Muhammad Rashad.


The University President affirmed his full appreciation for all employees of the university’s administrative apparatus, which is considered one of the strongest administrative bodies at all levels, as they are an essential partner in all achievements and events. He pointed out the importance of the Fund in achieving the interests of employees, improving their conditions, and meeting their ambitions and aspirations, expressing his happiness with their selection of someone to represent them in the Fund. Improving the conditions of workers to express their demands and speak on their behalf.


After announcing the result, which took place in front of all the candidates who attended the vote-counting process, the head of the committee, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, congratulated the winner, and addressed all the candidates, expressing his admiration for the spirit of love and brotherhood that prevailed among them and their cooperation to promote the public good, extending his thanks. To the members of the committee and their efforts to bring the electoral process to an honorable conclusion, headed by the accountant Muhammad Saeed, Mrs. Wafa Azab, and the members of the sorting committee, wishing success to the winner of membership and the representation of the administrative apparatus in a way that achieves the public interest of the workers.
