Menoufia University wins the preliminary qualifiers for the Ibdaa 12 competition “in the field of community initiatives”

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, Menoufia University won the preliminary rounds in the 12 Creativity Competition in the field of community initiatives and advanced to the final rounds with the “Charity Pharmacy” and Don’t Walk Alone initiatives, which were organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, at the level of Egyptian universities, higher institutes, and government academies.


Dr. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that the Community Initiatives Competition aims to enable students to provide radical, innovative solutions to societal problems, and it also helps raise awareness of the importance of community participation among university students, noting that Menoufia University is the only university in which two initiatives won at the level of 42 universities. Institute and advanced to the finals in the Ibdaa 12 competition.


Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, explained that the winning initiatives are the Charitable Pharmacy Initiative at the College of Medicine and include students Mohamed Adel, Mohamed Sami, Basma Saad, Ahmed Arabi and Basma Gamal, while the Don’t Walk Alone initiative team includes students Omneya Bashir, Angie Fares, Ziad Khaled and Salma Ahmed. Omar Hani, and Amal Al-Sawy, Director of the Department of Families and Student Unions, supervised the competition.
