This morning, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, witnessed the launch of the awareness symposium activities for the second phase of the “Our Health is from the Health of Our Planet” initiative, in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Noamani, Dean. Faculty of medicine.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased began the symposium by offering congratulations on the occasion of the arrival of the night of the middle of Sha`ban and the approaching advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, wishing that God would bring it back to Egypt and the Islamic nation with goodness, right and blessings.

The university president confirmed that the symposium is part of the activities of the “Our Health is from the Health of Our Planet” initiative, which came within the community and health initiatives launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, which aims to develop citizens’ health awareness to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030. Pointing out that health and education represent the basic pillars for the advancement of the state and providing a decent life for citizens, pointing out the importance of raising awareness of the seriousness of silent diseases because of their danger to the public health of society, stressing the importance of following the correct methods in all aspects of life, in addition to the importance of early detection of diseases, which contributes to protecting the patient from Facing the risk of death and the difficulty of treatment, explaining that raising awareness of healthy lifestyles contributes significantly to reducing treatment expenses and achieving a strong healthy community capable of driving the country’s economic development.

Dr. Sobhi Sharaf indicated that the series of seminars comes within the second phase of the “Our Health is from the Health of Our Planet... Prepare for Green” competition in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment. The second phase will also include a bicycle marathon competition under the slogan “Our Health is from the Health of Our Planet”, some sports and awareness activities, in addition to distributing... About 1,000 bicycles, with the aim of spreading the culture of using sustainable means of transportation to preserve the environment and reduce emissions, and approximately 50 male and female students from every university at the Egyptian university level will participate.

Dr. Mona Zanati, Director General of Pharmaceutical Inspection at the University, and the administration’s work team, Dr. Sherine Farouk at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Heba Abbas, Dr. Asmaa Shaheen, and Dr. Ahmed Adel at the Faculty of Dentistry, Menoufia University, spoke at the symposium. They talked about life health and the importance of emotional intelligence to The aspect of academic intelligence is that health is not only physical health, but includes mental, physical and social health. The symposium also addressed the impact of smoking on public health, especially dental health, and the importance of therapeutic nutrition in preventing diseases and reducing diseases.
