Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased , President of Menoufia University, the university hosted the BliTZ blitz chess tournament, with the participation of 30 Egyptian universities, which is organized by the Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities in cooperation with Menoufia University as part of the activities of the 51st Martyr Al-Rifai Course for Egyptian universities and higher institutes, under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education. And scientific research is the President of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased , President of Menoufia University, Dr. Mohamed Sobhi Hassanein, Vice President of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities, and Dr. Arafa Salama, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities.


Dr. Ahmed El-Kased stressed the importance of students practicing sports activities that contribute to building personality and providing favorable conditions to discover and develop their talents, and train them to work purposefully and bear responsibility, noting that the university continues to implement plans for student sports, artistic, cultural and social activities during the academic year, in addition to To continue developing the national awareness of university students and supporting innovators, students and people of determination with athletic and artistic talents; And benefiting from students’ energies in practicing various activities and serving the community.


El-Kased announced that the results of the championship competitions resulted in Alexandria University winning first place, Ain Shams University winning second place, and the Egyptian Russian University winning third place “in student individual competitions.”


As for the “female teams,” Alexandria University won first place, Ain Shams University won second place, and Assiut University won third place.


As for the “Boys’ Teams,” Alexandria University won first place, Mansoura University won second place, and Ain Shams University won third place.


In “Female Individual Students,” Alexandria University came in first and second place, and Assiut University came in third place.


The tournament was supervised by Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of Student Welfare, Captain Yasser Jamal, Director of Sports Activity, Captain Moataz Sadiq, Supervisor of Activity, and Mohamed Khattab, Director of Social Activity.


El-Kased pointed out that 30 universities (students) participated in the tournament, with a total of 55 students from the British University in Egypt, the Canadian University in Egypt, Horus University, Kafr El-Sheikh University, Assiut University, Benha University, New Cairo Technological University, Sadat City University, Ain Shams University, Future University in Egypt, the Egyptian-Russian University, and the University. Egyptian National University for E-Learning, Alexandria University, Zagazig University, Cairo University, Nahda University, Port Said University, Helwan University, Sohag University, Sinai University, Misr University for Informatics, Menoufia University, Ministry of Higher Education, Al-Salam University in Egypt, Mansoura University, Tanta University, German International University, American University in Cairo, Al-Azhar University, Delta University of Science and Technology


19 universities (female students) also participated, with a total of 34 female students, namely the British University in Egypt, Kafr El-Sheikh University, Assiut University, Banha, Sadat City, Ain Shams, Alexandria, Zagazig, Cairo, Helwan, Sohag, Sinai, Menoufia, Mansoura, Tanta, the Ministry of Higher Education, the American University in Cairo, Al-Azhar University, and the Misr University for Informatics.
