Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, honored the coordinators and work team of the Arab University Classification, as the university ranked in its first edition at eighth place at the level of Egyptian universities, and nineteenth at the level of Arab universities out of a total of 115 Arab universities evaluated this year, in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

The University President expressed his happiness at honoring the university with a ceremony honoring Arab universities during the opening of the 14th session of the International Forum and Exhibition for Higher Education and Training EduGate, stressing the university’s interest in implementing the mandates of the political leadership to raise the university’s ranking in international classifications, in addition to the university’s endeavor to implement the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education in Implementing the principle of international reference, which was launched by the Ministry in March 2023.

The university president also thanked the Minister of Higher Education and those responsible for the Arab classification of universities implemented by the Association of Arab Universities in cooperation with the League of Arab States and the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), adding that this classification will contribute to strengthening the position of Arab universities in international classifications, in addition to providing universities with the opportunity to To conduct benchmark comparisons and enhance the competitiveness of Arab universities to reach the level of international universities.

During the honoring, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased thanked Dr. Nahed Ghoneim, Dean of the College of Education, Coordinator of the Arab Classification of Universities, and the work team of faculty members charged with meeting the criteria for the classification.
