Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received Captain Mohamed Abdel Moneim “Shatta”, the Al-Ahly club player and former technical director of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the director of the club’s football academies, Captain Ahmed Nakhla, Captain Fawzi Scotti, and the club delegation in preparation for establishing a branch of the club’s academy. Al-Ahly University, in the presence of Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Souad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the University President’s Office.


During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the university’s guests, pointing out that establishing a branch of the Al-Ahly Club Academy comes within the framework of the community role played by the university in all sectors, including the sports sector, as the role of the academy is to teach the foundations of football according to modern systems and qualify players to join. At Al-Ahly Club’s football school and creating a new opportunity for future generations, in addition to preparing generations of technically, physically and mentally qualified football players according to advanced educational, cultural and sports programmes, at the hands of a team of specialists in this field.


For his part, Captain “Shatta” praised Menoufia University as a house of expertise in the governorate specializing in all fields and activities, expressing his happiness in cooperation with the university, which will add a new branch to the academy, teaching the foundations of football according to modern systems and qualifying players to join the Al-Ahly club’s football school, where 265 students were promoted. A player from various branches and from various age levels of the Al-Ahly Club’s youth sector, pointing out that the academies include more than 9,000 players, and 250 coaches and specialists who provide all the capabilities and expertise to provide young people with the sporting spirit and the principles and values of Al-Ahly Club.
