Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the General Administration of Student Welfare, “the Department of Social Activities and Trips” in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Central Administration for Youth Development, the General Administration of University Programs and Activities, and in cooperation with the University’s Convoys Department, organized a medical awareness convoy to the village of Ashma, the Shuhada Center. This is under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased stressed the university’s keenness to launch its integrated medical developmental and awareness convoys to the villages most in need and provide health care to those who deserve it in their places to reduce the burden on them, pointing to the importance of this convoy, which comes in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and aims to improve and develop the villages most in need and provide medical services. Free treatment for them, and providing students of specialized colleges with experiences through applied training.
The university president also stressed the importance of the seminars offered by the university during the convoys to raise community awareness of the danger of addiction and drugs to the individual and society and to help families most in need to provide health care for their children, pointing to the importance of providing awareness-raising guidance on treatment methods and identifying the psychological and social needs that contribute to the prevention of addiction. .
The destination indicated that the medical convoy examined 420 cases, including 55 skin cases, 46 ophthalmia, 63 children, 42 nose and ears, 33 chest, and 61 internal cases, from the village and neighboring villages, and free treatment was also provided to them.
The convoy also presented an awareness seminar on combating addiction and the dangers of drugs, as well as a seminar on violence against women, attended by approximately 120 individuals from the village and neighboring villages.
A large number of doctors in various specialties participated in the convoy’s work, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Nomani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Rania Azmi, Dr. Farid Wagdy, Dr. Muhammad Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, Hamdi Abdel Rahman, Director General of the General Administration for Community Service, and Hossam Abu Al-Naga.
