Four scientific teams from Menoufia University qualified for the final qualifiers in the Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally competition

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the university participated in the Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally competition at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in the Smart Village, which is being held for the eighth year in a row, under the sponsorship of the National Bank, the strategic partner, in cooperation with many entities concerned with entrepreneurship, and with the participation of Nearly 30 universities

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased  stressed that the university is always keen to provide support to its students participating in entrepreneurship competitions, out of its belief in qualifying and developing young people in light of activating the knowledge economy and spreading the culture of innovation among various segments of society.
The President of Menoufia University announced that four teams of university students qualified for the final round in the Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally Competition, congratulating them to the students and their supervisors, stressing the university’s constant endeavor to link educational outcomes to the labor market, and to contribute to spreading the idea of self-employment and entrepreneurial activity. In fulfillment of the state’s plan for sustainable development 2020
The competition was supervised by Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, and Mervat Arafa, Director of the Scientific and Technological Activity Department.
The teams that qualified for the “Drop Me” team included:
The “Drop Me” project reflects a commitment to green technology, utilizing artificial intelligence-based recycling vending machines, and aims to increase recycling rates by approximately 40% and enhance community participation by 25%.
The Biofab team also qualified:
Which is developing a thread extrusion device and a 3D printer, which uses biodegradable polymers to create artificial bone scaffolds. The project aims to revolutionize the field of orthopedic treatments and improve the quality of health care.
As for the “Reglash” team, it provides a solution to the problems of the spare parts market for car owners in Egypt, and provides an easy way to access spare parts at competitive prices through an application and electronic platform, and aims to save time and effort for car owners in obtaining spare parts.
As for the fourth team, “ECO-Wave Power”:
It is based on converting the mechanical energy of ocean waves into electrical energy, and uses an environmentally friendly three-dimensional design, and aims to provide clean energy sources and reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the air.
The judging committee included two stages, the first stage a committee from the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and the second stage a committee from HGLK, TDM University, with the membership of Dr. Alaa Radwan, Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Vice Dean of the College of Commerce for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, and Dr. Fathallah Al-Shoura, Entrepreneurship Specialist. Works at the General Administration of Student Welfare and communication coordinator between the university and the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
