Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired a meeting to review the ongoing development works at the University’s printing presses, within the framework of the University’s strategy to advance specialized service and production units, enhance their role in supporting the educational process, and maximize self-generated resources.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Mohamed Saafan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Mohamed Wahdan, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Ms. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University; in addition to the Director General of the General Department for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the Director of the University Printing Press.

At the outset of the meeting, the University President extended his congratulations to university staff and committee members on the occasion of the advent of the month of Sha‘ban and the approaching holy month of Ramadan, praying that these occasions bring Egypt—its leadership and people—continued progress and stability under the wise leadership of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Prof. El-Kased explained that the meeting is part of a series of regular follow-up meetings to monitor development and quality plans across various university sectors. He noted that upgrading the University printing presses is an integral part of a comprehensive system aimed at achieving institutional excellence and sustainability, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, and at strengthening the principles of quality and good governance both within and beyond the University.

During the meeting, Prof. El-Kased reviewed the workflow system within the printing press, performance indicators, and mechanisms for maximizing the utilization of available resources. He emphasized that the University printing presses represent one of the key pillars supporting the educational and research processes, as they provide diverse printing services that meet the needs of different faculties, departments, and the surrounding community, with high quality and reasonable cost.

The University President stressed the importance of continuous development of technical and administrative performance at the printing presses, and the necessity of keeping pace with the latest technologies and modern systems in the field of printing. This, he noted, contributes to improving the quality of the final product and enhancing competitiveness, adding that optimal utilization of resources is a core pillar of the University’s institutional development strategy.

Prof. El-Kased also pointed out that the University is studying the launch of a distinctive brand for the University printing presses within an organized institutional framework, as a prelude to transforming them into an integrated publishing house through the Educational Services Company. This step would enable the provision of distinguished services to the surrounding community and contribute to increasing economic returns.
