- Establishing action plans within the general safety of the University, issuing decisions to ensure the achievement of the objectives set and controlling the implementation of these decisions

- Policy decisions and general objectives, as well as action programmes and plans.

- Holding regular meetings with heads of State and officials, discussing steps and problems of action and working to overcome them; - To coordinate the work of existing sectors with public safety and to organize the necessary communications for the benefit of work; - Participation in or chairmanship of university committees within the limits of the Law on the Organization of Universities and its Executive Regulation.

- The exercise of jurisdiction within the limits of the authority and the authorization given to him; The Secretary-General of the University reports to the Director of the Office at the level of (Director-General).

- Study and presentation of all the topics received by the Bureau and follow-up of the topics issued by the Bureau.

 - Conducting studies and research to which the Secretary-General of the University considers him to be entrusted.

- Participation in the planning and follow-up of action programmes.
- Assisting the Secretary-General of the University in coordinating his organizational divisions.
- Assisting the Secretary-General of the University in the control of performance.

- Preparation of draft resolutions mandated by the Secretary-General of the University for adoption by the Secretary-General of the University and follow-up on their implementation after their issuance.
- Conducting the work of the issuer and the receiver, preservation, copying and photography of the Office.
- Follow-up on the implementation of all visas of the Secretary-General of the University in all matters issued by the Office.
- Creation of the specific files needed to keep images of subjects in their own files, such as those of colleges, institutes or various units, as well as external entities, after they have been indexed and sorted according to their issuers.

- Screening, classification and recording of topics issued by the Office.
- Procedures for the distribution of correspondence issued by the Office of the Secretary-General of the University to the authorities concerned.
- Compilation and recording of subjects received by the Office of the Secretary-General of the University from within and outside the University for presentation to His Lordship.
- Organize special appointments, interviews and meetings of the Secretary-General of the University, both at and outside the University.
- Production and photography of the correspondence of the Office of the Secretary-General of the University.

- Receiving and sending telephone calls to the Office of the Secretary-General of the University and sending and receiving facsimiles received from the Office.
- Preparation of a register of incoming calls of particular interest.
 

The Office of the Secretary-General of the University:
The Department of Follow-up is responsible for:

- To monitor and monitor the performance of the daily work transmitted by Mr. Professor/Secretary-General of the University to the various units of the University, to ensure that it is completed in a timely manner and to inform His Excellency of any arrears.

 

- Preparation of periodic reports on the results of the follow-up to be submitted to the Secretary-General of the University and identification of deficiencies and shortcomings, as well as deviations in dealing with the various units of the University, and their communication to the Secretary-General of the University.

- Monitoring of the implementation of the visas of the Secretary-General of the University for all subjects issued by the Office of the Sovereign's Affairs to all units, faculties, institutes and hospitals of the University, as well as to external bodies;
- Preparation of draft resolutions mandated by the Office of the Secretary-General of the University for adoption by the Secretary-General of the University and follow-up on their implementation after their issuance.
- Establishment of qualitative records for the registration and follow-up of subjects.
- Study and review of the subjects submitted to the Secretary-General of the University by Professor-General and the preparation of a document before presentation.
- Participation in studies and research commissioned by the Office of the Secretary-General of the University.

- Making the necessary contacts to verify the completion of work on the subjects referred to the various units of the University.
- Make recommendations and proposals to assist the Secretary-General of the University in improving and developing the performance of the University.
The Secretary-General of the University is responsible for:

- Creation of the specific files needed to keep the subjects in their own files, whether those of colleges, institutes or various units, as well as external entities, after they have been indexed and printed by their issuers.

- Screening and registration of topics received by the Office of the Secretary-General of the University.
- Procedures for the distribution of correspondence issued by the Office of the Secretary-General of the University within and outside the University.
- Registration and preservation of the assets of the decisions of the Secretary-General of the University, the decisions of the Rector of the University and the minutes of the boards of colleges, institutes and various units.
- Classification of subjects addressed to the Department of Follow-up for opinion before submission to the Secretary-General of the University.
- Organization of dates, interviews and meetings of the Secretary-General of the University, both at and outside the University.

- Production and photography of the correspondence of the Office of the Secretary-General of the University.
- Receiving and sending telephone calls to the Office of the Secretary-General of the University and sending and receiving incoming and outgoing facsimiles.
- Preparation of a register of incoming calls of particular interest.
The Secretary-General of the University is assisted by (3) Assistant Secretaries (at the level of central administration), who are responsible for:

- Participating in the formulation of the overall policy for the work for which supervision and guidance are exercised and contributing to the formulation of their own operational programmes.

 

- Production and photography of the correspondence of the Office of the Secretary-General of the University.
- Receiving and sending telephone calls to the Office of the Secretary-General of the University and sending and receiving incoming and outgoing facsimiles.
- Preparation of a register of incoming calls of particular interest.
The Secretary-General of the University is assisted by (3) Assistant Secretaries (at the level of central administration), who are responsible for:

- Participating in the formulation of the overall policy for the work for which supervision and guidance are exercised and contributing to the formulation of their own operational programmes.

- To contribute to the development of operational programmes for the activities it oversees.
- Review the overall results of its activities and the efforts of its departments and provide feedback on the development and improvement of working methods to ensure higher performance rates.
- To follow up on, and make use of, progressive developments and recent trends in the areas of work;
- Participation in or chairmanship of committees on financial and administrative work within the limits of the Law on the Organization of Universities and its implementing regulations;
- Holding regular meetings with heads and officials of its sectors, discussing steps and problems of action and working to resolve these problems;
- Assisting the Secretary-General of the University in the implementation of financial and administrative regulations, laws and regulations in all activities of the University.

- Coordination of the activities entrusted with overseeing them and monitoring their implementation.
- To study and submit to the Secretary-General of the University financial and administrative plans for the sector entrusted to him for adoption and to issue the necessary decisions in order to ensure the proper functioning of the University and the achievement of its overall objectives.
- Study the subjects referred to him by the Rector, the Vice-Rector of the University (competent in the sector entrusted to him) or the Secretary-General, prepare the necessary notes and reports and discuss them with the Secretary-General of the University for submission to the competent authority.
- To exercise all the financial powers vested in it in accordance with the provisions of Act No. 49 of 27 and its implementing regulations.

Each Assistant Secretary is headed by a Director of Office at the departmental level and is responsible for the following:

Study and presentation of all the topics received by the Bureau and follow-up of the topics issued by the Bureau.
Doing the studies and research that the Assistant Secretary of the University sees assigned to him.
To perform the work of the issuer and the receiver, save, copy and photograph of the Office.
Create the quality files needed to save images of subjects with their own files and synthesize them.
Screening, classification and recording of topics issued by the Office.
