National Liver Institute, Menoufia University, Celebrates the Largest Postgraduate Graduation Class in Its History and Honors Administrative Staff Awarded the Government Excellence Prize
The National Liver Institute at Menoufia University held a grand and remarkable ceremony celebrating both academic and administrative excellence. The institute organized its first-ever graduation ceremony honoring postgraduate degree holders (Master’s and PhD), marking the largest graduating class in its history, with 83 graduates honored for the academic year 2024/2025. In addition, the institute recognized a distinguished group of administrative staff and the team responsible for the “Government Excellence Incentive” project, following the institute’s remarkable achievement of winning the Government Excellence Award at the university level.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Qassed, President of Menoufia University, and Prof. Dr. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute, in the presence of prominent university and institute leaders, including Prof. Dr. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Dr. Ghada Ali Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Hany Abdel Megid, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Dr. Iman Abd El-Sami, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute, expressed his pride and joy at this historic occasion, stating:
“This celebration sends a clear message that excellence will define the next phase for our institute. Honoring 83 graduates with Master’s and PhD degrees represents an unprecedented leap in scientific research and reflects the dedicated efforts of our academic staff and researchers. Likewise, winning the Government Excellence Award stands as a testament to the efficiency and harmony of our administrative team, which ensures the highest standards of quality in all services provided.”
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, praised the institute’s vital role, saying:
“The National Liver Institute goes beyond its medical and research mission—it actively contributes to community development. These graduates represent highly qualified scientific cadres capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and playing an effective role in national development plans. We hope that the excellence of the administrative staff continues to enhance the quality of services offered to patients and the community.”
Prof. Dr. Ghada Ali Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, also emphasized the university’s unwavering support for scientific research, stating:
“This large number of postgraduate graduates demonstrates the university’s ambitious strategy to support researchers. We are committed to providing an enabling environment for producing high-quality scientific research that addresses healthcare challenges—especially in liver diseases. This milestone graduation motivates us toward even greater academic achievements.”
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation and honorary shields to graduates and outstanding administrative staff, in a festive atmosphere that reflected the institute’s deep appreciation for the efforts of its members in all fields.
