The association of pediatrics and newborn  at Menoufia organized  the eighth scientific forum of Pediatrics in a collaboration with the Pediatrics Department at Menoufia  University and the Egyptian Pediatric Association under the auspices of Dr. Moawad Kholi, the university president , Dr. Hisham Abdel Basset, the governor of  Menoufia, and  Dr. Fuad Ghareeb the  acting dean of the college.

Dr. Ali Al Shafie , the President of the association emphasized that the conference discussed through two workshops 10 lectures about the new in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatrics  diseases, also discussed how to diagnose and treat thalassemia and wounding the mother infection before giving birth and its effect on the baby and how to avoid the child complications of the disease, as well as how to diagnosis and treat  urinary tract infection in children and imbalances in the glucose lactose and poisoning newborns.

He explained that the Association of Pediatrics & Newborns in Menoufia train pediatricians on what  new in the field of pediatrics in addition to help sick children in the province and support the them with medical devices.

During the conference, Dr. Hussein Kamel Bahaa Eddin, head of the Egyptian Society of Pediatrics emphasized  that the family and the mother is responsible for the development of the child's intelligence skills by taking advantage of neurons and synapses in the early years of age and that culminate than one year of age up to 6 years, and he also emphasized on the need for educate children from the age of one year.

He also pointed to the importance of the close care, breastfeeding and listen to music and sports in the activation of brain cells and the strengthening of intelligence in children.

The  Egyptian university Chairman of Pediatrics  warned of child abuse by physical abuse, psychological and electronic games based on violence and the adverse effect of close and its role in the killing of creativity in children infected with certain tumors, he also stressed that encourage and reward and empathy strengthens creativity and nurturing it in children.

Dr. Wael Bahbah , the general coordinator of the conference noted that the forum is present a large number of professors of pediatrics, including Drs. : Ahmed Younis, Atif Donia , Fady Gendy , Omar Atef, Hazem Kamel, Hamid Al-Khayat.
