Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the monthly meeting of the Central Library and University Libraries Committees, with the participation of members of the committee online through electronic meeting platforms.


At the beginning of the meeting, El-Kased congratulated Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari on assuming the position of Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Postgraduate Studies. He thanked Dr. Taher Abdel-Sattar, the former Vice Dean of the College. He also congratulated Dr. Muhammad Wahdan on renewing his appointment as Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies at the College of Commerce.


El-Kased indicated that the two committees followed up on the decisions that were implemented, and the agenda of the two sessions was discussed. Al-Qased added that the two committees also reviewed the activities and events carried out by the university's colleges and institutes libraries during the month of March.


El-Kased Ali confirmed that during the two committees, topics related to the work of the general administration of university libraries and the central, digital, audio-visual library were discussed during the month of March, and what was accomplished in terms of library inventory work and the new addition of books, periodicals and scientific encyclopedias, in addition to following up on the services provided by the digital library to researchers who are members Teaching staff, assistant staff and postgraduate students.


The university president added that the Libraries Evaluation Committee, headed by Dr. Mabrouk Abdel Dayem, Vice Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine for Postgraduate Studies, reviewed the final report on the work of the committee formed to evaluate the libraries of colleges and institutes of the university for the current academic year.


The university president announced that the library of the College of Engineering won the first place, the library of the College of Nursing won the second place, and the library of the College of Home Economics won the third place, within the framework of evaluating the libraries of old colleges.


The library of the College of Early Childhood won first place and the library of the College of Veterinary Medicine won second place in the evaluation of modern college libraries
