Successful Cardiac Catheterization for Two Palestinian Girls at Menoufia University Hospitals

Under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, a delicate therapeutic catheterization was successfully performed for two Palestinian girls at the Cardiology Department at Menoufia University Hospitals.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased emphasized Menoufia University's commitment to providing all forms of support to our Palestinian brothers and sisters, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership and the Ministry of Higher Education, to raise the level of preparedness and readiness of university hospitals to receive and provide urgent healthcare to the Palestinian people.

El-Kased also directed that all means of support be provided to our Palestinian brothers and sisters who have been admitted to university hospitals and are receiving treatment in various treatment departments, including the provision of the necessary healthcare, treatment, and social care until their safe return. He praised the role of the political leadership and the Egyptian state and their historic commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating the severity of the humanitarian crisis facing them.

Prof. Mohamed El-Noamani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, added that the two Palestinian girls were received and evaluated. The first girl, "Hour," underwent a balloon angioplasty, and the second girl, "Ilaf," underwent an interventional catheterization of an arterial fistula. He explained that the two Palestinian cases were treated successfully, and that the operations were performed entirely free of charge. He noted that the university hospitals provide all forms of support and medical care to Palestinian patients.

The catheterization was performed under the supervision of Prof. Mahmoud Soliman, Head of the Cardiology and Vascular Surgery Department, with the participation of Prof. Raghda Ghanem, Professor and Head of the Cardiology Department at Tanta Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Mahmoud Kamel, Professor of Cardiology. Prof. Suzy Lashin, Lecturer of Cardiology at Menoufia Faculty of Medicine, was also present. The nursing and technical staff included Ms. Enas Ramzy, Abdel Sattar Youssef, Saeed Al-Hajja, Mohamed Nabil, Hind Abbas, and Samara Hassan.
