Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced the success of a medical team at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Menoufia University Hospitals in performing a delicate coronary artery bypass graft (CAB) surgery using the minimally invasive coronary artery bypass graft (MIDCAB) technique on a patient suffering from severe coronary artery blockage and unstable angina pectoris. The patient weighed 155 kg and was obese.
