Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, continues a series of strategic meetings with leadership from the University of Louisville, Kentucky, as part of his official visit to the United States. The visit is being held under the patronage and supervision of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The meeting is being attended by an Egyptian delegation including Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Essam Ahmed El-Kurdi, President of El Alamein International University; Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University; Prof. Moawad El-Kholi, President of New Mansoura University; and Prof. Hussein El-Maghrabi, Vice President of Benha Private University. The delegation is accompanied by Prof. Ayman El-Baz, Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Louisville.
The second day of the visit featured a busy schedule of meetings, including a meeting with the College of Business Administration. The university president and the delegation, which includes a number of presidents of Egyptian public and private universities, met with Dr. Jeff Gowan, Vice Dean of the College. The two sides discussed mechanisms for developing joint academic programs and enhancing student exchange opportunities.
The President also attended an expanded meeting with the leadership of the College of Dentistry, headed by Dr. Margaret Hill, Dean of the College. The two sides discussed areas of cooperation in medical training and the exchange of educational and research expertise.
The meetings also included a session with the College of Public Health and Information Sciences, where the President was welcomed by Dr. Kathy Baumgartner, Dean of the College, and a number of professors specializing in biostatistics, health informatics, and public health. The discussion centered on the potential for developing joint programs and exchanging academic talent.
In the evening, the President met with the leadership of the Graduate School, attended by Dr. Beth Boehm, Dean of the College. Areas of cooperation in master's and doctoral programs were reviewed, as were channels for joint academic supervision.
The day concluded with an official meeting hosted by the University of Davis, attended by Dr. Zhenyu Wu, CEO of the EpicQuest Education Group, and Dr. Craig Wilson, Director of the Group. The meeting discussed ways to support international education and cross-border academic initiatives.
These meetings come in light of Menoufia University's commitment to expanding academic and research cooperation with prestigious international universities, enhancing its international presence, and opening up to distinguished international experiences to serve the goals of comprehensive development and improve the quality of higher education and scientific research in light of Egypt's Vision 2030.
