As part of his official visit to the University of Louisville in the United States, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, attended several important academic meetings as part of the Egyptian delegation's work program, which aims to enhance international cooperation between Egyptian and American universities. The delegation, under the patronage and supervision of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, includes Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Essam El-Kurdi, President of El Alamein International University; Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University; Prof. Moawad El-Kholy, President of New Mansoura University; and Dr. Hussein El-Maghrabi, Vice President of Benha Private University. They were received by Prof. Ayman El-Baz, Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Louisville.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased participated in a meeting with the leadership of the university's International Center, which was attended by Dr. Kurt Olusen, Director of Education Abroad, and Dr. Maria Martinez, Assistant Director for International Student Affairs. The meeting discussed ways to support student exchange programs and international academic cooperation.
The University President also participated in a meeting with the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies and Education Abroad, attended by Dr. Brad Bowman, Department Director, and Dr. Kurt Olusen. Opportunities for collaboration in the areas of academic research and joint studies were reviewed.
The day concluded with a meeting with the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Louisville, attended by Dr. Dayna Toron, Dean of the College, Dr. Regina Roebuck, Associate Dean, and Dr. Sherry Wallace, Associate Dean. The two sides discussed the possibility of faculty exchanges and joint academic programs.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased emphasized that these meetings are part of Menoufia University's commitment to expanding international cooperation and exchanging academic expertise with prestigious international universities. They are also part of the program of the current visit to the prestigious University of Louisville in the United States, as part of Egypt's Vision 2030 to develop the education and scientific research system and internationalize Egyptian universities by opening up to the world through building international partnerships and applying global educational standards.
