Department of Otolaryngology at Faculty of Medicine , Menoufia University organized workshop under the auspices of Prof, Dr. Meawad Al Kholy, the rector , Dr. Ahmed Gamal El Din , Dean of the Faculty , and the  chairman of University hospitals about the skull base surgery through the ear, under the chairmanship of Dr.Essam Behiry , the head of the department . the dean of the faculty confirmed that the department of Otolaryngology is one of the distinguished department that keen on holding monthly seminar to train young doctors and postgraduate students. Dr. Ahmed also pointed out that the 4 microscope surgery and 5 surgical endoscope were purchased in the laboratory of clinical skills in the college to train young doctors and researchers on microscopic surgery and laparoscopy.

Dr. Essam Bheiry pointed out that during the workshop, 13 researches and lectures were trained on cranial skull surgery through the ear with the surgical microscopy available in the lab. He added that he Prof. Shapir Andorwald, professor of Ear, Nose and Throat in India and the head of the workshop. The workshop was attended by a large number of faculty members, the assistant  body, graduate students and doctors of nose and ear.
