Within the framework of the #Study_in_Egypt initiative, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the directives of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, on the necessity and importance of sponsoring and attracting international students studying in the university’s various faculties.. The university held a workshop on how to prepare for the evaluation of colleges in the application of standards for sponsoring and attracting students Expatriates with coordinators of expatriate departments and directors of expatriate departments at the university’s faculties, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qased, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Salwa Fouad, General Coordinator of Expatriates at the University, lectured.

In his speech, Al-Kased stated that Menoufia University is one of the oldest and greatest public universities, which has all the facilities to attract the largest number of foreign students in order to achieve cultural openness for Menoufia University students to other cultures. It has a selection of the best professors and scholars in various fields of science and knowledge.

Al-Kased stressed that the university is keen to provide various aspects of care to its students, including medical care and various recreational and cultural activities. The university also provides students from all over the world with opportunities to study in all academic programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

 

Dr. Salwa began the activities of the workshop by emphasizing the importance of sponsoring and attracting international students at the university through activating the academic guidance system and holding periodic meetings for the management of expatriates in faculties with international students, and discussing students’ problems and working to solve them. She also stressed the importance of direct and continuous communication with international students through the means of communication. And attention to supporting the stumbled and honoring the outstanding and talented among them, and the establishment of many additional courses to develop the language, mental, practical and clinical skills of incoming students.

She also stressed the importance of updating the college’s website and including the activity of managing incoming students on it with all the study programs, available specializations, terms of application, tuition expenses, the application link, aspects of care, facilities and activities offered by the college to international students, in addition to the need to pay attention to organizing many different activities, whether sports. Cultural, artistic, trips, etc., as well as informing immigrants of the scientific status of faculty members, holders of scientific prizes and publishers of international research, and benefiting from the presence of international students in colleges as ambassadors of the university in their countries.
