Under the patronage of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Kased, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Salwa Fouad Ashiba, General Coordinator of Expatriates at the University, a workshop was held today to discuss fulfilling the points regarding aspects of sponsoring and attracting international students based on On the results of evaluating files submitted by the various faculties of the university.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Qased opened the workshop by welcoming the attendees, stressing the role of faculties in caring for and attracting incoming students, and the need to take all the facilities offered to foreign students. For international students from all countries and support the university’s image abroad, as well as facilitating communication with them, in cooperation with their own authorities, such as their country’s embassies and consulates in Egypt, and the central administration for international students, as well as providing an appropriate environment for them during their studies in Egypt to be the best ambassadors for Egypt after their return. for their country.

Dr. Nancy Asaad also stressed the need to mobilize all efforts to increase the number of international students, provide them with full care, communicate directly with students and overcome all the obstacles they face, take advantage of the capabilities available in each faculty of distinguished study programs and use them in marketing the university. She also emphasized the continuous support for the university system. Housing, whether in university cities or the university hotel, to meet the needs of the incoming student, in addition to emphasizing the need to pay attention to their participation in various student activities and to reduce their sense of alienation.

Dr. Salwa Asheba continued the activities of the workshop by presenting the indicators and results of evaluating the files submitted by the various faculties of the university, where a presentation was given in which she explained the basics to be followed for the care of international students in the faculties, and the need to activate the academic guidance to upgrade the system and explain the best way to care and attract international students. She also praised the file submitted by the College of Nursing for fulfilling all the criteria of care and attraction, as some completed documents were presented in an exemplary manner, such as a guide for international students in the college in Arabic and English, and some reports submitted as a model for other colleges of the university.

At the end of the workshop, it was stressed the need to join efforts to achieve the main objective of the Study in Egypt initiative, which is to sponsor and attract international students.
