The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Acting Minister of Health reviews the Menoufia University Medical City project within the development system in the health sector in Egypt

During the opening activities of the First African Medical Conference, with the honor and presence of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed today the project to establish the Menoufia University Medical City as part of the ongoing health service development projects in Egypt.

In his speech, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the acting Minister of Health, indicated that the state is implementing a strategy to develop the health system in Egypt, including a number of projects that are being implemented. Among these projects, the Minister reviewed the Menoufia University Medical City project, which aims to serve a specific purpose. Approximately 10 million citizens of Menoufia Governorate and the Delta region, and that the project will raise the capacity to 3,755 beds of internal departments, in addition to intensive care beds and operating rooms.
