Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, held a meeting with Dr. Ayman Ali, Engineering Advisor to the President of the University, Dr. Abdel-Rahman El-Sebaei, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, and Dr. Mohamed El-Sawy, Vice-Dean for Education and Students and former Executive Director of Hospitals. Dr. Ahmed Al-Qarsh, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Sabry, General Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Saeed, Director of the Emergency Hospital, and Dr. Sami Al-Dahdouh, Director of the Specialized Hospital, to discuss the general perception of the medical city facilities.

 

 

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased stressed the important and pivotal role of university hospitals within the Menoufia Governorate and the neighboring governorates, reviewing the emergence of university hospitals and the development they have witnessed since the beginning of construction until now and the medical specialties that they include to provide treatment service to patients at the highest level, stressing that everyone works as one team that complements each other. in favor of the university.

 

The university president explained that the medical city construction project at Menoufia University represents a distinct addition to the university's medical complex, especially since the project is built on an area of five acres, within the framework of the horizontal expansion of the university's medical complex. With the aim of adding specialized hospitals and medical centers; To provide all required medical services to the people of Menoufia Governorate. Increasing the absorptive capacity to receive a larger number of patients and contributing to the elimination of waiting lists in light of the directions of the Egyptian state under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and his interest in developing the medical system at all levels.

 

During the meeting, El-Kased discussed the general perception of the medical city project, and the importance of distributing specialties and needs in a way that is integrated with the rest of the university hospitals to fill any deficit in any specialization so that it becomes a complete medical city with all the specialties that the patient needs, and a vision of the entrances and exits for easy movement between hospitals within the medical city. With attention to the academic and educational aspects, and developing a vision for the establishment of auditoriums and teaching and training halls for students.

 

The President of the University directed to quickly complete the general and final vision of the facilities in the Medical City, to start taking the necessary measures to start implementing this great national project.
