Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the House of Science and Learning Association in Menoufia Governorate organized the activities of the Second International Conference on Diabetes, Endoscopy and Digestive System Summit, attended by professors and faculty members of the Department of Hepatology at the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University and the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and chaired by Dr. Ahmed Kamal and Dr. Mohamed Akl and Dr. Abdul Alim Hilal
Dr. Mohamed Akl, Head of the Department of Hepatology at the National Liver Institute, Menoufia University, indicated that the conference will discuss the new treatment of diabetes, the digestive system and bile ducts, in addition to holding two workshops, one of which is for the nursing sector on sterilizing endoscopes, and another workshop for young doctors on ultrasound, with the launch of various workshops for gastroenterologists. Dr. Abdel-Alim Helal, a teacher and consultant of endoscopy and the digestive system at the National Liver Institute, added that the conference will discuss 34 various scientific researches over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday through 13 scientific sessions.
He pointed out that it is scheduled to discuss everything related to sugar, the digestive system, and endoscopy, and come up with a package of important recommendations that aim to avoid the risks and problems of diabetes, colon, liver and fatty liver cancers.
Dr. Ahmed Kamal, Professor of Hepatology at the National Liver Institute in Menoufia, explained that the aim of the conference is to discuss how to avoid diabetes and colon tumors after eliminating hepatitis C, pointing to the importance of exercising to prevent diabetes and high blood pressure, and the need to refrain from smoking and early detection.
