Believing from Menoufia University in the importance of enhancing teachers’ capabilities and skills, which in turn is reflected in the advancement of the educational system in the country, Menoufia University received this morning under the auspices of Dr. Environment Delegation of the project "Teacher Excellence - Egypt" TEL Which included Dr. Hazem Rashed, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, consultant for the Teacher Excellence Project, Dr. Magdi Bakhit, engineer Ahmed Salem, communications and information technology specialist, and Suzan Hamed, project follow-up and evaluation officer.
Dr. Nancy emphasized that universities, especially colleges of education, are an integral part of the process of developing the educational process and building the capabilities, skills and knowledge of teachers for their direct responsibility for preparing teachers, noting that Menoufia University is always working to align student preparation programs with national reform efforts and the requirements of the current stage in the development of the educational system and developing new curricula that keep pace with the requirements of the modern era; to apply best practices in this regard.
In a related context, Sharaf expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with Egyptian universities in improving the quality of teacher education in Egyptian universities, building and enhancing their skills and capabilities, in addition to supporting the student learning process and advancing education reform, stressing the aspiration of Menoufia University for more aspects of cooperation to serve the educational system in Egypt.
For his part, Rashid indicated that the Teacher Excellence Initiative (TEI) project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Education Development Center (EDC). It targets 15 Egyptian governorates with an estimated budget of $50 million. The initiative includes the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. , the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Supreme Council of Universities, stressing that the project began last April and is scheduled to continue until April 2027.
The meeting dealt with ways to integrate technology in all educational programs, establish partnerships between American and Egyptian universities, and develop programs to obtain bachelor's and postgraduate degrees for primary school teachers in Egyptian universities. the teacher
The delegation was received by Dr. Fatiha Batikh, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Menoufia University, Dr. Nahed Ghoneim, Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Major General Imad Al-Masaidi, Director General of Internal Security at the university. The delegation went to the Faculty of Education on an inspection visit, accompanied by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
