Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, inspected the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, accompanied by Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hani Tawfiq El-Gamal, Dean of the College, and Vice Deans Dr. Manal Saafan and Dr. Farid Wagdy.


Al-Qased continued the scientific and student activities during his tour of the college, where he inspected the activities of the training program at the College of Applied Health Sciences Technology provided by Mindray, one of the leading companies specialized in the field of medical devices in the world. The training aims to link the academic side with the practical side and the requirements of the labor market to In addition to raising the practical and technical skills of graduates of the Biomedical Devices Technology Program.


El-Kased stressed the importance of practical training for students and the university's keenness to provide it to students in practical colleges, indicating that the university has concluded many cooperation protocols to provide practical training opportunities in factories, companies and various entities.


Al-Qased praised the training program and the students' keenness to attend practical training courses that qualify them to join the local and international labor market.


Dr. Ghada Al-Banbi, Executive Director of the Biomedical Devices Technology Department at the college, indicated that the training program deals with theoretical and practical training for students over two days on medical ultrasound imaging devices. The training includes introducing the contents of the devices and how to fix faults.


The community service sector in the college organized today a symposium on first aid under the supervision of Dr. Farid Wagdy, the vice dean of the college, and in coordination with the student affairs sector under the supervision of Dr. Manal Saafan. The symposium dealt with the basics of first aid. Farid and Jedi first aid in cases of eye injuries and diseases, and Dr. Umm El Hana Shehata, a professor at the Faculty of Nursing, dealt with first aid for burns, fractures, and cardiorespiratory resuscitation.
