Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Scientific Research Account Unit online via electronic platforms, with the participation of committee members.

At the beginning of the meeting, the committee approved the minutes of the previous session, and discussed any new work.

During the meeting, El-Kased announced an increase in support for scientific research and experiments in some colleges to meet the requirements of researchers in the departments. The committee also agreed to purchase some equipment for the scientific departments in some colleges.

El-Kased indicated that the committee agreed to refund the tuition fees paid by some members of the assisting staff who are registered for scientific degrees and registered for master's and doctoral degrees outside the university.

El-Kased also directed the faculties to implement applied projects that have an actual applied return to serve the research process and students at the university. The university president stressed the need to follow up the implementation of research plans in the university faculties to meet the various challenges facing the Egyptian society in the economic, social, health and environmental fields in the governorate, and to activate the role of scientific research in supporting The health system, reducing pollution of the environment, air, water and soil, desalinating sea water, reducing soil salinity, using renewable energy, using modern irrigation methods, and increasing the productivity of strategic agricultural crops.
