Menoufia University organizes an introductory meeting about the national project for reading and opens the "Diamond Reader" booth at the Faculties Complex

In light of Menoufia University's interest in supporting a culture of reading, reading, and self-learning to employ creative reading skills and enhance the knowledge structure.. Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University and supervised by Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Menoufia University hosted an introductory meeting on the activities and competitions of the "National Reading Project". Introducing the "Diamond Reader" competition for university students,


The President of the University welcomed Mr. Hisham Al-Sangary, Director of Educational Projects at the Scientific Research Foundation, Egypt and Africa Branch, and Dr. Young people and children to continue creative reading that enables them to acquire knowledge, apply it and produce new ones, and work to bring about a renaissance in reading by making it a priority among groups of society, which achieves knowledge sustainability that makes the Arab Republic of Egypt a cultural leader in all its people, referring to the university students who won the first and second editions of the Contest and achieve advanced positions.


During the meeting, the objectives of the national project for reading were reviewed, which aims to empower generations with the keys to innovation through creative reading, enhance the sense of patriotism and a sense of belonging by supporting national and human values, and present a model, sustainable cultural project based on scientific foundations to encourage similar projects.


It is worth noting that the entities supporting the national project for reading are the Scientific Research Foundation in the Emirates, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Solidarity and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.


During the meeting, Dr. Nancy Asaad introduced the students to the competition and how to register for it, explaining that the prizes are valuable, as the first winner at the republic level gets a financial prize of one million pounds and the Diamond Reader Cup, the second is half a million pounds, and the third is a quarter of a million pounds, and the fourth to tenth winners get One hundred thousand pounds, and encouraged students to quickly register and participate in the competition, explaining that Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aal was chosen as the general coordinator of the university in the competition, and a sub-coordinator was appointed in each college to help students wishing to participate and introduce them to all the controls and conditions and assist them in all their needs, wishing success to all.


The introductory meeting was attended by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of Arts, and Dr. Amjad Emara, Dean of Commerce.


Dr. Nancy Asaad and Mr. Hisham Al-Sangari, Director of Educational Projects at the Scientific Research Foundation, Egypt and Africa Branch, Dr. Abdo Ibrahim, Director of Quality Activities at the Scientific Research Foundation, opened the booth that was established to be the headquarters of the competition, which provides all the necessary definitions for students, and methods of registration for the competition.
