The President of Menoufia University inspects the University's National Liver Institute, the liver transplantation unit, and the operating rooms

Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, visited the National Liver Institute, the Liver Transplant Unit, and the operating rooms, accompanied by Dr. Hisham Abdel Dayem, Dean of the Institute, and Dr. Hani Shreim, Vice Dean of the Institute and Director of the Liver Transplant Unit. And Dr. Tawfiq Abdel Mottalib, Executive Director of the Liver Institute Hospital, Dr. Mohamed Al-Warraki, Head of the Radiology Department, and Dr. Amr Mostafa, Head of the Surgery Department


El-Kased discussed with the Dean of the Institute and the Director of the Liver Transplant Unit ways to develop the liver transplant unit and use the latest surgical methods in the world used in the institute. Until now, it has the technical capabilities, medical personnel and the latest medical devices to receive more cases


The university president directed to develop a plan to develop the old institute building to make the most of it, stressing that the university provides full support to upgrade the institute and the medical service it provides to patients.


During his tour of the institute, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased followed the liver transplantation process for a 4-year-old Syrian child with a donation from his 33-year-old father. He met the liver transplant team, Dr. Osama Hijazi, Dr. Hossam Suleiman and Dr. Imad Hamdy.


The university president also inspected the institute's care units, the liver transplant unit, operating and sterilization rooms, doctors' rooms, and the pathology laboratory


Dr. Hani Shreim explained that the institute performed two liver transplant cases this week, one of which was for a 58-year-old Egyptian patient and a 4-year-old Syrian child.
