Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the activities of the twenty-eighth scientific conference were launched today at the Faculty of Medicine, in the presence of Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Abdel Rahman El Sebaei, Dean of the Faculty, and deans and vice-presidents of the university faculties. And Dr. Muhammad Al-Sawy Habib, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qarsh, Executive Director of University Hospitals, hospital directors, former college deans, heads of departments, faculty members, students, directors of the educational and military hospital, captains of doctors, pharmacists and dentists in Menoufia

The conference began with the presentation of a documentary film about the College of Medicine and university hospitals, during which Dr. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the conference guests and praised the medical topics discussed in the conference this year, including the use of artificial intelligence in medical practices to keep pace with the technological changes and challenges facing the medical practices in the world, stressing that the human cadres in Menoufia University and its hospitals are able to face these challenges

He added that the College of Medicine is one of the accredited colleges and was proactive in introducing distinctive educational and training programmes. El-Kased stressed that the College of Medicine and hospitals are witnessing continuous development and provide distinguished medical services to the people of the province and neighboring provinces.

He explained that the new medical city will provide many qualitative services that will increase the medical services provided by the college and its hospitals to the community through specialized, educational and training medical centers, so that the college will become one of the international medical centers, hoping that the conference will come out with applicable recommendations.

Dr. Nancy Asaad also conveyed to the audience the greetings of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased and congratulated him on his selection as an ideal doctor at the level of the Republic, and indicated that the conferences at the Faculty of Medicine are always distinguished, and announced that the scientific content of artificial intelligence has been added to the program of the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Ahlia University in Menoufia and that the trend in higher education is Creating a partnership between the different disciplines that makes the graduate not need any additional courses or skills, and added that content has been created to add artificial intelligence programs to the curricula of the medical sector in the university’s faculties

Dr. Sobhi Sharaf stressed the importance of using modern technologies in education and restructuring the educational system in systematic ways that serve students in different faculties and the medical sector, in addition to developing targeted plans and strategies to raise the efficiency of the university graduate and the Egyptian doctor.

Dr. Abd al-Rahman al-Sibai indicated that the conference discusses new issues in various medical topics, including the use of artificial intelligence in medicine and its various applications in all disciplines. He stressed the importance of integrating medical curricula with new technology through artificial intelligence applications, referring to the college's work in cooperation protocols between the College of Engineering. He added that the conference will also discuss what is new in diseases of the digestive system, treatment of liver diseases and tumors, eye diseases, heart diseases, diabetes, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, plastic surgery, and new surgery in colon tumors and pelvic tumors. and oncological surgeries

Dr. Muhammad Al-Sawy Habib also welcomed the conference’s leaders, and confirmed that the conference will discuss 31 sessions and 4 scientific workshops over 3 days on the new in medicine and the latest methods of treatment, indicating that the medical field is witnessing development in equipment and means of communication, stressing the keenness in the college to develop the study and keep pace with what is happening of developments in the world and to provide an accredited graduate capable of facing challenges

Dr. Hussein Nada, President of the Menoufia Medical Syndicate, expressed his happiness at choosing Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, as an exemplary doctor at the level of the Republic, and he will be honored during the General Syndicate’s celebration of Doctor’s Day on March 18. He thanked the University and the Faculty of Medicine for their pioneering role in training young doctors.

At the end of the conference, the shield of the college was presented to Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, Dr. Nancy Asaad, and Dr. Sobhi Sharaf. Honoring the former dean of the College of Medicine, former vice-deans, distinguished faculty members, nursing staff, and workers in various departments. The best department and the best international publisher were honored.
