Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held a press conference in the presence of senior media professionals, journalists, representatives of newspapers, websites, and television and radio channels, in the presence of Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Osama Madani, Media Advisor, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Secretary-General of the University, Accountant Jalal Abdel Salam, and Hamdi Abdel Rahman. The conference discussed a variety of educational, research and societal files, especially the expatriate file, and ways to develop programs required by the local, Arab and regional community in which the university operates.


The President of the University also dealt with the academic programs developed at the university that keep pace with the requirements of the labor market, stressing that the university is looking for ways to attract a large number of foreign students and has prepared for that a suitable environment for students, developed curricula and distinguished study programs, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership to develop education in Egyptian universities.


The conference also discussed the development of educational programs, the expansion of education with the credit hour system, and the increase in international contracts and protocols with international universities in various disciplines to keep pace with the labor market. Dr. Ahmed Al-Qased also talked about the postgraduate studies sector, the development that was introduced in it, and the introduction of new programs such as professional diplomas in a number of faculties of medicine, commerce and engineering more than two years ago. A study is underway to add professional diplomas in theoretical and practical faculties, and the introduction of new diplomas in laparoscopic surgeries, liver diseases and radiology to learn new skills for graduates. And researchers, keeping pace with the new labor market.


In the field of community service, El-Kased stressed that the university has a distinguished history in providing support to the local community and transferring the university's expertise to various sectors, foremost of which is the university's cooperation with the presidential initiative, a decent life in remote cities and villages in the Menoufia governorate, and work to develop employment skills for graduates and cover professional requirements, in addition to opening Research aspects and broader participation in many research projects in the governorate in the fields of agricultural drainage, renewable energy, and others.


El-Kased added that the Menoufia governorate has four universities that pump distinguished students in all fields, which include Menoufia University, Sadat City University, Delta Technological University, and Menoufia National University.


El-Kased stressed that the university and its graduates enjoy many advantages and occupy many important positions, through the large development plans that the university follows in all fields.


Pointing out that the university has its mark on the education map in the universities of Egypt, stressing that the university's credit hours system helps to graduate a distinguished student and gives sufficient flexibility to students during study, which greatly helps in development and excellence.


The President of Menoufia University indicated that Menoufia University includes 7 educational facilities to provide a graduate working in the medical field and health care, which includes many specializations, including medicine, nursing, the National Liver Institute, Pharmacy and Applied Health Sciences, in addition to the Technical Institute of Nursing.


El-Kased added that the university and hospitals have 1,000 beds, including 160 care beds and 35 operating rooms, and serve 6 million citizens distributed in all centers of the province.


El-Kased added that the addition of three floors to the emergency hospital ramp will soon be completed, which will provide distinguished medical service through the addition of 11 operating rooms, 56 care beds, and 70 inpatient beds, which will be done within three years.


El-Kased also touched on the role of the Menoufia Governor in assisting the university in allocating 5 acres next to the medical complex for construction expansion, accommodating a large number of students and researchers, and increasing the absorptive capacity of university hospitals.

Dr. El-Kased also stressed the university's commitment to the rules for appointing teaching assistants according to the announced five-year plan. He also explained that the university has an expansion in the educational map, which requires the appointment of a large number of faculty members and supporting staff, in addition to the opportunities available in new governmental, private and private universities.


Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education Affairs, reviewed the continuous development in the education sector at the university, the services provided to students, medical and therapeutic care for students in the medical administration, and the provision of an e-book to facilitate the educational process in cases of crises that may occur, such as confronting the Corona virus, in addition to the role of university cities in caring for Students, as it accommodates 2,600 male and female students annually, the student’s cost exceeds 3,500 pounds per month, in addition to providing solidarity for students who are unable and students with special abilities.


During the conference, El-Kased answered the inquiries and questions of media professionals in various fields
