Menoufia University won 14 medals in the sports meeting for challengers with disabilities in the Youth City in Alexandria

Menoufia University students for the challenged with disabilities achieved 14 various medals during their participation in the sports meeting (Disability is a grant .. not an ordeal), which was held from 1 to 6 March in the Youth City in Alexandria for the academic year 2022/2023 and was held under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports , Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Major General Muhammad Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, with the participation of 800 male and female students from 24 Egyptian universities.


The Menoufia University delegation participated in the meeting under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.


The delegation included Captain Yasser Jamal, Director of the Sports Activity Department, Captain Mahmoud Hafez, Captain Ali Al-Sayed, and Jehan Sami Musharraf, along with 21 male and female students who participated in the various games. The competitions were held on the playgrounds of the Youth City and the College of Physical Education in Abu Qir.


The medals included 6 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze in the games (football, athletics and weightlifting), where the deaf and dumb football team won first place and gold medals.


In the weightlifting game, the student Mahmoud Abdel Halim won the first place in the weight of 57 kg for weightlifting (the gold medal).


The student, Ahmed Talaat Abdel Moaty, won the third place, weighing 54 kg, in weightlifting (the bronze medal).


In the shot put game for the deaf and dumb, the student Ahmed Hisham Abdel Maqsoud won the first place (gold medal), and he also won the first place in the javelin throw for the deaf and dumb (gold medal).


Student Omar Osama Al-Beltagy won second place in the 100-meter race for the deaf and dumb (silver medal), and third place in the long jump (bronze medal).


The student, Khaled Ahmed Salem, won the third place in the 100-meter race with healthy legs (bronze medal), and he also won the third place in the 200-meter race with healthy legs (bronze medal).


And he won the third place in the shot put race with disabled legs, the student Omar Hisham Al-Alimi, the owner of the (bronze medal), and he also won the second place in the javelin throw race with disabled legs (the silver medal).


The student, Shaima Nasser, won the first place in the handicapped leg push (gold medal), and she also won the first place in the handicapped javelin throw (gold medal).


The student, Salwa Ahmed Abdel Halim, won the third place (bronze medal) in the javelin throw with healthy legs.
