Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, participated in the launch of the fourth virtual employment forum to communicate and interact with business owners of Egyptian universities “online”, in the presence of Ms. Leslie Reed, Director of the USAID Mission in Egypt, Dr. Ahmed Dalal, President of the American University in Cairo, and Dr. Mohamed Hamza, Consultant The American University in Cairo, with the participation of many Egyptian public universities, the National Bank of Egypt and the Etisalat company from i& as main partners for the forum organized by the University Centers for Professional Development (UCCD) project, which is implemented by the American University in Cairo (AUC) and with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and in cooperation With university centers for professional development that have been established in most Egyptian universities.


Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, stated that the Career Development Center was established within the university in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development and the American University in Cairo. Students are provided with professional guidance and counseling services, training in leadership skills, problem-solving, analytical thinking and entrepreneurship.


He also emphasized the endeavor of Menoufia University, through the university's professional development centers, to prepare its members to attend this annual event by providing various professional development services to ensure obtaining the best available job opportunities.


The university president pointed out that the strategy of higher education, according to Egypt’s vision 2030, seeks to create a new generation equipped with science and knowledge and to spread the culture of science and innovation by supporting students and graduates to improve their personal and technical skills to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market, which is witnessing many successive changes. He thanked His Excellency Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Education. Al-Ali for his support for the Egyptian universities and his constant endeavor to achieve these future visions, and to pursue the work strategy that achieves these goals, especially since the world will witness the disappearance of a group of jobs during the coming years in several fields, while new jobs will appear according to the new market requirements, and therefore it is necessary to work together to develop and support Pioneering thought among our students.


The forum, which will be held over three days from 6-8 March 2023, includes a large number of events and virtual seminars that deal with the most important developments in the labor market and entrepreneurship. It also shows students and graduates how to prepare to start a professional life, in several sectors, such as banking and health professions, Building, construction, energy, communications, logistical support and remote work fields, where representatives of major institutions and companies such as the “National Bank of Egypt” and “Etisalat” from A&E present and participate in the seminars. The first day of the virtual forum is devoted to entrepreneurship as an alternative choice, where a number of From the experiences and success stories of a number of entrepreneurs and the most important steps needed to start projects and obtain financing.


This, students and graduates from participating Egyptian universities register on the virtual platform, upload their CVs, and communicate with company representatives to learn about the most important jobs available within the virtual pavilions of different companies and banks, where communication takes place with representatives of companies and banks through chat rooms), in addition to attending seminars. various events during the meeting over the course of three days.
