Menoufia University participated in the proceedings of the first forum of Egyptian universities, which was held in Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Aiming at reducing environmental problems and consolidating the pillars of sustainable development 2023, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Maha Tony, Professor of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Menoufia University

The forum dealt with an expanded session to develop a roadmap for research projects for Egyptian universities, review the most important projects presented in this field, and organize the efforts of Egyptian universities in the field of sustainable development.

Menoufia University reviewed the research and research projects aimed at sustainable development and how to use the waste of drinking water plants to treat polluted water and turn the waste into an oasis.

Dr. Maha also explained and delivered a lecture dealing with research on a sustainable green environment to treat the water of the industrial zone in Quesna using organic waste with the help of solar energy towards a green environment.

The forum was held on the sidelines of the session of Community Service and Environmental Development at the Supreme Council of Universities, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research.
