Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the monthly meeting of the Central Library and University Libraries Committees, with the participation of committee members online through electronic meeting platforms.

The head of the committee began by congratulating the university's employees and members of the committee on the night of the middle of Sha'ban, the approaching month of Ramadan

He welcomed the joining of Dr. Rabab Mubarak, Dean of the College of Dentistry, and Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf, Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence, to the University Libraries Committee. He also congratulated Dr. Hassan Aliwa for renewing his appointment as Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies at the College of Science.

The two committees followed up on the decisions that were implemented, and the agenda of the two sessions was discussed

El-Kased explained that the two committees reviewed the activities and events carried out by the university's college and institute libraries during the month of February

El-Kased Ali stressed that during the two committees, topics related to the work of the general administration of the university libraries, the central, digital, audio-visual library, and what has been accomplished in terms of inventory work for libraries and the new addition of books, periodicals and encyclopedias that were purchased or donated to some college libraries were discussed, in addition to following up on what the digital library offers. Services for researchers from faculty members, assistant staff, and postgraduate students

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased praised the fact that the Libraries Department of the College of Arts held the Knowledge Club, which is a cultural and educational club that aims to teach and develop critical evaluation skills, increase the definition of specialized literature among students and faculty members, and prepare cadres capable of effective participation, scientific research and scientific publishing through communication and teamwork.

The university president called on the scientific departments in the faculties to develop a vision and ideas for being present in libraries and activating their role

Dr. Ahmed Al-Qasid Ali confirmed that a technical support team is being formed to assist the libraries of the new faculties, and the formation of scientific research ethics committees in the faculties, in addition to the formation of a committee to evaluate the libraries of the faculties and institutes of the university to choose the best library.
